Went away with 2 mates to Chicago last weekend and had an absolute ball.
Besides seeing baseball and college football games, we went to the Blue Man Group and one of the lads got to be part of the show, also went to the Green Mill, the jazz club that Al Capone went to and while a part of me thought back to John Thompson’s “Jazz Club” on The Fast Show, it was phenomenal. Never really been a jazz fan but hearing it live is incredible.
Saw a couple of decent cars there too- not as many as there are in The Bay Area- definitely fewer Tesla’s (they’re as common as muck there)- but higher end cars. Top of the range Bentley’s, Panameras, Nissan GT-R.
Had to rent a car as the train wasn’t going to get us to the game on time, went to the rental place and they were out of cars, so we waited for the car they got in, which was a Nissan Sentra. There’s nothing really to say about it other than it was better built than the Rogue I had 2 weeks ago.
The whole weekend was fantastic, we’ve already started talking about doing one next year. The only downside is that I think I got bitten by a spider and have got cellulitis on my right elbow- I’m now on drugs for the next 10 days to help get rid of it.
The pity is that it took 45 years to do something like this! (Goodwood trips and car weekends don’t count...)

I've stayed in Chicago for only one night and part of the next day, on route to Indianapolis. Had a very quick tour around, rode the 'El', went to the top of the Hancock Tower. It was February and bloody freezing but clear and dry. Would love to go back and spend some time there.
