I think i have inadvertently met some of you on Sunday at Caffeine and Machine. If you don't follow me on Instagram you won't know that i work at Caffeine and Machine every weekend as a marshal. I have been working there for a few months now. I started off on a trial basis, had a great first weekend so they took me onto the marshalling team on a part-time basis. I then impressed on the following weekends and built up a rapport with many customers and their feedback on me and by the staff didn't go unrecognised and i received a call from the manager saying they'd like to take me on to the permanent weekend staff and that i no longer needed to ask a few days before if i could be on the rota for the coming weekend. I love the venue and what i do, meeting fellow car enthusiasts and giving them a warm welcome and goodbye and making sure that my car-park runs smoothly and everyone is safe on site and leaves with a smile. Some really great cars turn up always. Definitely met Dan (Stuntman) who visited in his GT4 on Sunday. I spoke to you Dan. You approached me and asked about the place and if you could take someone out on a ride and return. I made that happen for you. Really nice to meet you. Who else turned up then? Does someone want to create a new thread on the "Caffeine and Machine" visit? I'd love to read your thoughts on the place. Pity i didn't know you were coming. It would have been great to welcome you and put a face to the forum posts. I was the tall guy at the back car-park, glasses, beard and fetching pink hi-viz. Let me know if you coming in a group together next time and I'll do my very best to get you all parked together. Was it you I spoke to on my way out in my 1932 Standard? Had a natter to a marshall next to the exit gate.

Absolutely stunning looking Standard, I believe i complimented you on it and for bringing it but forgive me for not knowing what marque it was. Really nice to chat.

Nice to meet you (inadvertently), you were really helpful and polite. I thought you were the main person in charge, such was your air of authority! There's a thread in Forum Diary. Stu was there with his mate Tony (who was my GT4 passenger) - they were in the white Octavia. James (Roadrunner) was there, in the green Standard Big 9 which you may not have seen as it was parked right by the front entrance. And Simon P was there with a local mate called Harry. Simon was in the blue Audi RSQ3. Definitely up for a return visit sometime soon!

Thanks Dan, those words are very warmly received and much appreciated. I'm so glad I was able to help and chat to let you know about this special place of ours. I definitely go to bed on a Friday night looking forward to working the next day even if I do come home at 6pm on a Sunday after a 9 hour day on my feet absolutely shattered but I have to admit I'm buzzing. I absolutely love what I do, I always have my A-game on to help customers, get them parked and keep visitors safe on site and welcome them once they pass me and see them off with a polite thanks, you are all valued.
I do know that mid September we have the Mazda MX5 owners club booked in, they have booked 60 places already. Not sure exact date, yet. Other car clubs will book in too. We impressed the Volvo owners club a few weeks back, they brought some lovely cars, old 440's, 480's, 240's and 940's plus plenty of more modern Swedish stuff.
We have Phil Morrison from DriftWorks who visits regularly too for those who like smoking their rear tyres on a drift track course, he brings down his AE86 drift car and his 964 RS (absolute beast)
Feel free to e-mail me a compliment of my service to contact@caffeineandmachine.com
I will keep a better eye out on the forum diary and look forward to welcoming you and meeting you.

Although I didn't come this weekend, I came over a few weeks back. You may have helped me park but a black Merc estate won't standout out like a gt4😀
Had a fantastic time , great service, burgers were excellent, very much looking forward to coming back soon!

Not knowing the place I didn't realise there were so many different areas, I simply assumed you would see the guys coming in, recognise the more stand-out cards (Stunter's, and James's Standard) and put 2 +2 together. Sorry folks.

I have posted this in the Forum Diary but, as others have said, I'm sorry I didn't think that you might be there, Duncan. We dud meet, briefly, as we left (white VRS). I was very impressed at your polite and cheery and helpful attitude and your thanks as we left. A great venue, with great staff. I will come and say hello next time!
