I too once saw Stunts in his Cayman on the M5, I'm not sure what he thought when there was a bearded nutter trying to attract his attention 😁😁

I saw Ed on the M40 and A34 about a year ago, a bright yellow GT4 is difficult to miss! It took a couple of attempts to attract his attention, but we got them in the end.

Hello Funnily enough, towards the end of the slow-moving queue that the M5 resembled yesterday morning, I was following another M3 - a white E92 on a 12 plate with the Competition Pack (or at least the wheels). I was on my way to Bath to pick up a Barbara Rae painting that I had bought a few weeks ago as the exhibition was ending yesterday. I then drove North, cross-country, to Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway to look at some more art, keeping my wallet firmly in my pocket!

I had a lovely drive back from Redditch to Plymouth which took me five and half hours with three kids in the back, the journey up only taking 3 hours the previous evening. After the accident it was just solid through Bristol and half way down into Somerset.

T'is but a small island ours and distinctive private plates afford you no anonymity.
I was waiting in the GC at some traffic lights in Battersea a while back when BB pulled up alongside me in the Gorilla. W2.0 looked indulgently bemused as to why he was waving and gibbering across her at some random bloke in the car next to her!
And when I had the Z1, somebody (can't remember who - Bryan maybe?) spotted it parked at the side of the Kings Road in Chelsea.

Apparently I was spotted at Newcastle Pride the other week.
It must have been a hell of a good event as I don't remember any of it.

Piers quite a few times.
Racing's Z1 parked up with a load of other Z1's at Silverstone in 2009
I'm sure I've seen Twelfth and the RS4 in Leicester before too (near Fosse park)

I've spotted Twelfth before, whilst on duty, and pulled him over with blue lights

I've spotted Twelfth before, whilst on duty, and pulled him over with blue lights Great work! But don't do it to me if you ever see me.... I'm slightly surprised I have not been spotted, as I have done quite a lot of miles on major UK routes in often fairly distinctive cars since the days of the 156GTA SW.... I have been to events where I met Piers and Eff One, but that was by design... It's always amusing explaining that you know these people only through the internet (though increasingly common now I suppose!).

Was fairly crapping myself for a moment!

ALF - you need a git plate. Your distinctive cars would then be easier to spot Nice work Stu!

Other than intentionally, I've never spotted any of you, apart from the time I spotted Grandpa in Tenby and surprised him by approaching his car and knocking on the window.

First forum meet I came to, I had to persuade Mrs PG that it was unlikely that everyone was an axe murderer.

True. Jo came to the first meet at Gaydon and was totally nonplussed as to why a group of strangers from the internet would all meet up and talk about cars.

Mrs P says to me "Are you off to see your little car friends again?". It's usually accompanied by a sarcastic looking smirk. Then when I get back it's " Did you see lots of nice brmm brmms?"!

Yes, my wife also thinks it most peculiar that I might chat to random people on the net about cars but fortunately she has also decided that it is mostly just harmless if obviously a waste of time that could be better spent doing almost anything else.
I think it helped that she has at least met BB and ascertained that one of you appears normal at any rate.

I think i have inadvertently met some of you on Sunday at Caffeine and Machine.
If you don't follow me on Instagram you won't know that i work at Caffeine and Machine every weekend as a marshal. I have been working there for a few months now. I started off on a trial basis, had a great first weekend so they took me onto the marshalling team on a part-time basis. I then impressed on the following weekends and built up a rapport with many customers and their feedback on me and by the staff didn't go unrecognised and i received a call from the manager saying they'd like to take me on to the permanent weekend staff and that i no longer needed to ask a few days before if i could be on the rota for the coming weekend. I love the venue and what i do, meeting fellow car enthusiasts and giving them a warm welcome and goodbye and making sure that my car-park runs smoothly and everyone is safe on site and leaves with a smile. Some really great cars turn up always.
Definitely met Dan (Stuntman) who visited in his GT4 on Sunday. I spoke to you Dan. You approached me and asked about the place and if you could take someone out on a ride and return. I made that happen for you. Really nice to meet you.
Who else turned up then?
Does someone want to create a new thread on the "Caffeine and Machine" visit? I'd love to read your thoughts on the place.
Pity i didn't know you were coming. It would have been great to welcome you and put a face to the forum posts. I was the tall guy at the back car-park, glasses, beard and fetching pink hi-viz.
Let me know if you coming in a group together next time and I'll do my very best to get you all parked together.
