As has been shouted at me repeatedly by various personal trainers, a six pack is made in the fridge not the gym. I'm quite fit as an individual playing Rugby and squash but I'm a fatty as I eat too much crap and can't seem to stop. I've been on a diet for the last 6 weeks and dropped a stone but its only a matter of time until I fall off the wagon as the food you want to eat is constantly in your face.

The way I de-chunked and (IMO) the best way of keeping it off is intermittent fasting with religious calorie tracking.
I don't eat before lunchtime and 80% of the time I don't bother with lunch - I save all my calories up for the evening.
This means I don't have to have stupid little portions of tasteless cack and can allow some badness in my limit.
As long as you keep protein reasonably high, there is zero impact on strength training or athletic performance.

My biggest weakness is cheese, I love edam but rarely buy it as if I did, it would be gone in a night... For me, it's soft French Brie. I sometimes buy the 150 or 190g "President" triangle packs and intend to make each one last a week but sometimes they're gone in 3 days. The leading supermarkets have them reduced to £1.50 per pack at the moment and it's very tempting to buy a handful of packets at a time.......

I love Wensleydale cheese and after reading this thread earlier scoffed a packet of peanut M&Ms with my lunch!

Strict adherence to only buying a limited amount and then rationing. Morrison's dark chocolate bar with rum and raisin will have to go on the list.

Peanut butter M&Ms are a must-bring-back-to-UK for American visitors. Why not just buy them in Sainsbury’s, you can find them with the Reece’s kisses and Hershey bars?

Sugary foods are the new class A drug of choice it seems.
I only picked one before, but now that everyone has fessed up to a multiple list, my list would include - Ready salted or Salt and Pepper Kettle Crisps - the big "family" packets Millionaires shortbread Pistachios (the shells don't slow me down that much, but thank goodness I have not found the deshelled varieties yet) Honey salted cashew nuts Opened bottles of white wine - we cannot leave any in the bottle once it is open
Mrs PG and I decided to improve our diet last year and cut our drinking in the New Year. So we limit what we have in the house snack wise. I've not had a drink at home since the New Year (and no, I'm not going down the pub seven nights a week instead....).

Lately, I have also been revisiting a childhood favourite - Bombay Mix. I can smash a whole bag of that in one sitting without any trouble.

The list for me is very long but includes all the previously mentioned biscuits, kettle-type crisps, cheese and continental meats. Red wine and beer. We have a well-stocked tuck shop at work, which is such a temptation.

The Italiamo Dark Chocolate covered Cherries from Lidl are also very nice and quite a bargain - I think the two companies maybe linked
