I'm surprised he thought he needed a rocket. Most Flearthers don't believe in gravity. They believe the flat earth disc is moving upwards through space at 9.8m/s which gives an impression of gravity. |

Not sure if you are watching the same feed as me but on this one you can clearly see both boosters landing and kicking up dust and smoke, albeit the smoke from the furthest away one becomes obscured by the closest one. Truly impressive stuff - I've seen them land single boosters on drone ships at sea but to coordinate a landing like that was superb. The clip you link to is a copy of the original "live" feed. You will hear the commentator say that the two booster feeds look the same but they are in fact from each booster. If you watch it you will see that they are indeed identical but the right hand one is one frame behind the left. They then go on to land on the same landing spot (the white target). Now look at this video from around the 30 minute mark. You will see that the boosters land on different spots. Both videos are the "Live" feed, so what is going on? |

They quite clearly land on different spots - the land pads are even different colours. This is one of those cases where it's much easier to believe the reality than try to engineer some bizarre conspiracy theory, that's full of holes and serves no purpose.

In the video Bob posted they both land on the white target. This is how the original "Live" feed showed it. They have subsequently gone in and changed a "Live" feed. This is called faking it and my question is what else are they faking?

This is called faking it and my question is what else are they faking? Certainly faking the success of Tesla but with this why would anything be fake? Thousands of independent witnesses saw the rockets take off and land. Even if they hadn't landed SpaceX have shared plenty of footage of their rockets failing to land and exploding so had they exploded in this case I doubt they'd try to hide it and instead celebrate the failure as a learning exercise. |

Many thousands have seen David Copperfield fly. He also made the statue of liberty disappear. It must have been real, hundreds saw it and it was on the telly and everything.

Didn’t they work out that faking the moon landings would be the same. The level of cover up required would alone be too complex before they’d even started making the fake video footage of the moon landing and moon walks. And of course the fake rocket which would have been as complicated and costly to build and run as the real thing! |

I think I’ve heard that too. To me this is a classic case of the obvious explanation being the truth. Test rocket, has a test payload that happens to be a car. Would never happen with a government body but this isn’t one, it’s a commercial enterprise getting the maximum from its investment.
Only reason to cover this up could be if it was military and that’s about as likely as the thing being faked.

At what point did I say the Earth is flat? In fact I seem to remember writing "Please excuse the flat earth references at the start". Why did Spacex feel the need to fake their live feed and why has Google/YouTube allowed them to do it? The repercussions could be enormous if live events can be altered to suit the narrative. |

The live feed is a point in time, at the time it was live. You'll have noticed that in that video the author also edits the 'live feed' - because it's not live any more. Just because something is against Google policy doesn't support the argument it didn't happen, in fact it confirms it as if you're going to go to the trouble of faking something you'd have all the feeds ready prior to the event.
I've been wondering what possible motive someone would have to dispute this happened and it never occurred to me to think of the flat earthers but that is the only argument and at that point I'm out. I've yet to see a shred of credible evidence this has been faked but an overwhelming amount that it's real.
