The Ranger has gone. 10000 miles and incredibly easy to live with despite the size. Everyone should have one. Replaced by a Fiesta St-Line 5 door 1.5 Tdci 120ps in Ruby Red with total FG: B&O play 650w stereo, 18” wheels, heated seats and wheels, rear view camera, lane keep assist, door edge guards, radar cruise control.

Looks good but must feel absolutely tiny after the Ranger!

The poor thing looks a bit sad. Perhaps a blast through the lanes will cheer it up?

That’s the best looking new Fiesta I’ve seen by some margin.

It can’t be beyond the ability of the dashboard designers to properly integrate a screen. Otherwise that looks tidy.

How does it make 18s look averagely sized? When I put 17s on my Fiesta (Smiley Face Mk4/5), they looked gigantic and rubbed.

Colour is good, wheels also...... rear parking camera ... yup, radar cruise ... great but TDCI Not sure that I have ever seen more than a handful of Mk 7 Fiesta diesels on the road since they were launched. What's the percentage of diesel Fiesta sales in the UK? I would have thought very small

Also, as fast as a 140 ecoboost. As to the numbers, I believe this configuration is unique in the uk at the moment.

How many cars have you had in the last 5 years?

Although there's a lot of similarity to the old Fiesta, the tweaks of proportions of this one make it look so much better - no wonder Ford are still holding their place in the market and Vauxhall are slipping fast.

How many cars have you had in the last 5 years? I honestly don’t know. Between 15 and 20 I guess.

Wow. That's a lot. I've had 21 cars over 21 years of motoring and thought that I was a bit of a tart on the automotive front!

That's a nice looking car, the new Fiesta is without doubt the best looking in the class. The Micro a decent second.

I drove my dads 120bhp Fiesta over Christmas and loved it. So much fun, and I love the look of this one here. Colour really suitable it. Does the weight of the TDCi affect the handling much?
My dad ordered his specially as he wanted the 3pot 120bhp version and it isn’t sold officially in Ireland, so as far as he knows, he’s got the only one like it in the country. He got his MOT done last month and the guy in the centre offered to buy it off him!

That is the best looking Fiesta, although my only reservation is that the front spoiler / lip looks too angular v the grille. The interior does look a huge step forward from the old Fiesta.

It's good looking until you get round to the back (which isn't in these photos.....)

Nothing I’ve heard about Stu.
As to the new Micra I think you all need to have another look.
Better than the old one maybe but it is pretty horrible. Now I have seen a few there are no good angles. Rear is horrible, flanks are overdone and the lights are too big for the car. And it has buck teeth and hidden rear door handles. Google image it - it has duped you.

New Fiesta is without doubt a lovely looking car, however I think it looks a but too grown up now, much like the new Ibiza does; they both risk losing sales to younger people due to the grown up and mature design.

I think overall the Fiesta would appeal more to me as an individual, private buyer, purely because I equate lots of curves, big lights etc with big bills; not really the best reason for choosing a car I'll grant you! For looks alone though, the Micra just shades it for me despite some of the points cbeaks1 mentions, though the "hidden" rear door handles are quite common these days and I actually quite like them.

I guess my beef with the Fiesta is that it looks like it was styled 10 years ago, possibly as an alternative to the previous model, and Ford have just revisited the old sketches. Maybe that's why the touchscreen looks so out of place, like a late addition.

I'm still not sure about the rear, but a nice-looking car. The centre console would be a lot cleaner than mine if it wasn't for that bloody huge screen. Do they all have that?
Good to see that Ford have finally seen fit to introduce a 5 door ST in the UK. Mine is a perfectly useable family car, but the lack of rear doors is occasionally a pain.

There's a grey 3 door up the road. Saw it pulling off the drive the other day and thought it looked great externally

Saw 2 new Micras yesterday and they look better than the Fiesta IMHO.... still not over-enthusiastic about the new Fiesta's rear,, makes it look a bit like the the C-Max, and it is a big supermini at over 4 metres long.

It's ok. The grille is the nasty bit - actively horrid. The rest is like a Japanese take on a Renault Clio with a bit of old-shape Civic chucked in for good measure.
