Wouldn't that apply to any coat? You'd think so. While it's impossible to argue with the science of it all, as per usual there appears no room for compromise. "Put the coat over the child or use a blanket". Yeah, right. Try keeping such on a recalcitrant child - at some ages they won't even keep their securely strapped shoes on! I'm not up to speed with current child seat design (surprise surprise!) but in the seat we had for my daughter the straps were fairly easy to adjust and we regularly did so to accommodate her various outfits and their fit inside the seat. Maybe they're just catering to the lowest common denominator (i.e. moron-level), as seems to be de rigeur these days.

Wouldn't that apply to any coat? I wouldn't have thought so, no. There's a big difference between something heavily padded with a low friction nylon lining and shell as opposed to something like wool.

I'm currently thinking life won't change but who am I kidding. Don’t worry, you’ll be a better person. To quote Andrea Leadsom, “as a mother...” It's probably true. Imagine what she might have been like before...

Let's avoid one another, eh? I'm finding this is getting rather boring.
I have your posts as hidden and keep making the mistake of looking. Maybe you should do the same, as I have no interest in reading your comments on my posts. I'm not going anywhere, so avoiding one another seems best for all here.

Like I say, I can't see your posts unless I choose to and in this instance I won't be looking. Might as well leave it there, I would suggest.

Probably for the best. I was going to start a topic on Arch Cru.

Behave children!! Stop this unseemly bickering.
As Leadsom might or might not say.

Thankfully I haven’t heard anything from her in sometime- she and others have gone remarkably quiet recently.

Sending on my congratulations too, Ed. You'll be so extra cautious the first time you take Ed Jnr out in the car. As for travel systems I can relate, being a Dad myself. We bought one, the main reason why we had to sell the MINI as the pushchair even folded did not fit in the boot. As a rule of thumb the car-seat should always be on the nearside so having a bulky seat and base behind the passenger seat didn't cause us any problems in the Mondeo. Mrs Nelson only had to pull her front seat forward a little but she is just 5ft so legroom isn't too much of an issue. Our travel system came with a seat base that stayed in the car at all times with the seat clipping into it and then you bring the seatbelt round. You'll get used to it. Hope all goes well with Mrs Ed and the birth.
