It's about £70k. An Izuzu Arctic Truck is £50k in the UK. Yes, but the Ford Truck is 3 years old isn't it?

Missed that. A new F450 Platinum starts mid 80s apparently. Options send the price rocketing.

There was a car transporter on the M18 today with the Adam West Batmobile, a Bond DB5, some sort of fast and furious thing and a few other bits and bobs.

Guy driving a smart four2 earlier today. Nothing unusual in that but he looked to be about 6’6” tall. Reminded me of that episode of the Simpsons years ago...

I followed a new Panamera Sport Turismo last night in a spectacular shade of dark blue metallic and it looked seriously impressive - very exclusive. I saw a black one in St Andrews on Wednesday and while it looked very nice it also looked as if it would weigh about 5 tonnes. Every time I see any type of Panamera I'm surprised at how big they are.

I saw a convoy of gritters driving through Dundee this morning. Is there a dramatic change in the weather imminent?

I forgot that when I was walking away from the garage this morning in amongst the VWs in the 'Cars available for test drive' area there was a new (registered) Aston Martin coupe - dunno which version it was. I know there are multiple franchise on the site but I don't think AM is one of them. It was in gloss grey though and I noted a few gloss grey VWs in the compound so perhaps it was in for some paint

I saw a convoy of gritters driving through Dundee this morning. Is there a dramatic change in the weather imminent? Oddly enough, I passed one on the ring road near our house this morning and wondered at first if I was seeing things! Disappointed to note it didn't appear to be one of the "humorously" named ones.

A 1930s Aston Martin in Chipping Norton today, as well as a Triumph TR2.

Barely believed it myself, but driving into Aldeburgh past the golf course around 3pm this afternoon, a silver Spyker C8 passed me accelerating the other way out of town. Sounded magnificent.
Certainly a car I have never ever seen in the metal before and certainly wasn’t expecting to see in rural Suffolk.

Not remotely on the same level as yesterday’s Spyker, but the old boy picking up his Sunday Times in front of me at the village shop this morning (also a Shell garage) was driving this: And then as we both pulled out, in pulled an old 911 RS, a 993, an Evora and a glorious light blue XK140. I think the first three were together but the XK appeared to be a coincidence. I forget how much money there is in this part of the Suffolk coast, especially during the summer.

Bloody marvelous, especially when you consider when it was designed.

There used to be a Spyker dealership in Cheltenham in the mid-2000s so I would occasionally see one out and about. I have sat in one in the dealership - burnt orange leather seats, exposed gear lever mechanism, turned aluminium dashboard. Lovely place to sit.

Saw a couple of new Panameras today. One of them was red (like Ferrari red) and it really suited it. Speaking of Ferrari’s, saw an F430 which was silver and a new Range Rover which was also silver.

Aston DBX on Monday, it was approaching me as I was crossing the road, I wasn't taking a huge amount of interest and just thought to myself, "be careful there is a a Cayenne coming", it blatted past with a lovely roar, I looked back and noticed the rear most definitely wasn't Cayenne.

I saw a new Bentayga on the way back from Duxford at the weekend. It looks little better on the road.

It was only a matter of time - I saw a Merc C Class (diesel something) that had been retro fitted with the Panamericana Grill: the new chavtastic addition to all lesser Mercs!

Saw a new Defender for the first time yesterday. Seemed to me that they wanted to resurrect the old shape Discovery when they designed it. It had some odd looking storage boxes stuck on the sides, too.

I've seen 3 new Defenders now, all in that green that the launch cars were in. Are they taking the Henry Ford line?
I followed a couple of cars behind one through the local town and wasn't keen on the rear lights - they look nice enough but when the car braked they seem too far in from the edge.

The XK120 above is lovely. Always liked it more than the E Type. Speaking of Jags, saw an X Type that must have been about 15 years old. It looked as if the owner had been bathing it in Meguiars as it was gleaming.
It had a chrome petrol cap and blue smoke too...
Was in the Bay Area this week and saw plenty of nice cars, but was taken aback when I saw an M5 wagon, probably about 3 generations old, being used by a homeless person. It wasn’t abandoned, just parked beside a lot of homeless people for the week, and it looked like it was still being used.

Maserati Levante. I never even knew these existed. Lucky you. I have to restrain myself every time I see the Ford Puma ad on TV. Still can't believe they turned it into a fucking SUV.

In a world where the X6 exists, I suppose anything can be a SUV, even a Roller. Heresy.

Yesterday I parked on on a remote track in the Yorkshire Moors to walk the dogs found myself parked amongst a gathering of the Fiat Panda 4x4 owners club. There were about 10 cars made up of new and old including a view Sisleys.

I saw my first Taycan on the road at speed yesterday evening when a Gentian blue Turbo joined the dual carriageway from the Silverstone junction just in front of me. I'm a big fan anyway, but it looked even better (and bigger) on the road and looked to ride very well as it it appeared to be floating along the road (no vertical body movement).
