Saw a Mazda CX-30. If the brief was to make a car that was a cross between the new 3 and the CX-5 then they nailed it. I liked it.

Just saw a lowered Evoque. Don't see the point in buying a high car and then making it low but it looked pretty cool.

Would it help fuel economy? I think just for show but no idea.

You can buy lowering springs for Defenders, believe it or not. If it is purely used as a road car then I can see the advantages, but otherwise it is a pointless exercise.

Just saw a new shape RS7 that didn't have a front numberplate. Naughty.

There's a Range Rover Spurt in the local town that's been lowered and has the wheels pushed out as far as possible. Hideous, although at least its grey so not as in your face as the Evoque 12th spotted.

More light related observations today. No less than three cars tonight, including the harbinger of DRL's, a Volvo (XC90 in this case) where there were no visible lights at the front, but the tail lights were illuminated. Most odd.

I just saw a newish Merc A Class parked up and it looked as if it had 15 inch wheels, I presume they were actually 16s and it'll be the standard, free wheel for all those desperate to keep the monthly payments as low as possible. I see quite a lot with shirt buttons and they look pretty crap.

Yesterday or the day before - was filling up the Kuga at the local garage when an almost new 7-series pulled up at the next pump. The very smartly dressed young driver put £30 of fuel in it........ hardly worth stopping, I'd have thought

I've just remembered that I saw a rat look Nissan Cube at the weekend. The whole car had that rusty thing going on. I'm sure I also saw a late 80s VW Transporter with the same look a few weeks ago.

Few nice but not special cars. New Audi RS5 in that flat grey colour. I really like it in that spec. Was overtaken by a Lexus ISF that I heard before I saw it, but the best was a late 90’s BMW M5 with no modifications and the license plate FAS LIMO.

At a supplier in Wolverhampton today, in their staff car park was an A plate Capri 2.8injection in the 2-colour paint scheme that I remember from the 1980's. Not quite immaculate or concours condition, but it did look nice and certainly not out of place against all the more modern stuff parked around it. I enquired of my hosts and apparently the owner has had it some time, and they managed to source a few discontinued parts for it fairly recently when another errant driver damaged the front

McLaren GT in gold a few days ago, not really sure what I think of it but the proportions were all odd and the gold did it no favours at all.

A colleague of mine had a 3.0 Capri, it looked surprisingly tidy but some of the paint looked dubious. He had the usual rust problems and for filler, well he used concrete instead.

Had to drive to San Jose today unfortunately. The place is empty, averaging 60 mph on roads that are normally bumper to bumper. Just saw an unregistered Lamborghini Urus. Massive brake calipers on it.

Red, 1960 Chevy Impala with massive fins on the back. However, it was the standard setup of the car that was really nice, except with one change, it had massive drilled and slotted discs on the front with huge Brembo calipers on it.

Yesterday, a white Adam being driven a bit like the driver was a few buckets over the limit. A very large blond woman of some description who looked like a bulldog on some very bad speed or coke, probably diet. So, that will be Eve then???

On my daily exercise walk, just short of the "village" shops, parked on someone's driveway, a 20-plate new shape Corsa in light metallic red.
