I saw an Aventador the other day and then a Ferrari 488 a little while later. Couldn't tell you how old they were as neither had a front numberplate.

Back through to the wilds of the Kingdom of Fife today, Kinross this time. On the way there, after crossing the 'new' Clackmannanshire Bridge, passed a bunch of supercars on some sort of run out. In the lead was a McLaren, closely followed by a couple of Ferraris, couple of GT3's and a Gallardo (I think) bringing up the rear.
Seemed like they were all taking it a little bit easy, due to the sudden rain shower a few moments before, as there wasn't the soundtrack I might have hoped for. Oh well .. .. .. ..

I've been wondering for a while how it is that Merc have got the A Class into the top 3 sellers list. I know they're common but I just didn't see THAT many on the road. However, a visit to a partially complete new housing estate has cleared up the mystery. It seems that 50% of the houses in the development - a mix of 3 bed semis to small 4 beds detached that have a single garage - have a new A Class parked outside.
Bet they're disappointed that their premium car is so common, especially in white!

Some great spots today, a four car convoy of 720S, 675LT, 488 Spider and the first 488 Pista I’ve seen, which looked fantastic, not a bit fussy like it does in pictures. Oh and a Chiron! There’s a new G63 parked outside the hotel, which I’m quite intrigued by for some reason, but not a vehicle I’d ever consider buying.
The current R8 seems to the car of choice for those who want to just drive around in 1st making noise and going too quick in traffic. They do sound good though.

Remember the very first bit of Kevin and Perry Go Large, every house is identical and each one has a Focus on the drive? There's a large estate on my patch at work and it empties of Audis in a morning a fills up again with Audis in the evening.

I remember they did the same for Harry Potter but with a job lot of Vectras. Haven’t seen Kevin and Perry for years, I think I’ve got it on VHS. Was an excellent film though, had me in stitches when I first watched it.

Saw a Lexus V8 coupe that I can't be arsed to look up the actual name of. Dunno if it had an optional exhaust on it but it made the F Type driven by some balding twat in his mid life crisis-mobile sound like a Fiesta in comparison.
(he kept leaving a gap and then flooring it, even though he was in midtown traffic)

Black Maloo today, which passed when I was walking the dogs. Git plate (V8BTH) too, but remarkably non-neddish driver as he managed to reign in his right foot when the road was clear! Either that or he was nearly out of petrol!!

I was stopped behind a Passat W8 today. Then an hour later at the same lights, I was behind an E63 AMG.

I keep seeing a new-shape Porsche Panemera 4S, with the 2.9 V6, it sounded rather good as the driver dispatched two cars with ease a few days ago. It also looks vastly better from the rear.

There was obviously a BMW 4 series Gran Coupe owners club meeting somewhere near me yesterday because I saw 4 of them in Cupar in the space of about 45 seconds.
I also saw a Lambo Hurracan Spyder parked in Tesco at Cupar. Not sure I want one but could say with certainty that if I did it certainly wouldn't be in white.

It took me about 10 seconds to work out what it was as it sat in traffic outside the office this morning - a previous generation E Class coupe in white with what looked like a previous generation C63 coupe bumper and grill, black sills, Black 20" E or C63 multispoke wheels, black rear diffuser and quad 63 exhausts and most interesting, one piece rear windows which presumably no longer go up and down. I know the split rear window in the E Class coupe is loathed by Racing but I am not sure he would have any more love for the way this thing looked.

On my way to work this morning..... a current shape Grand Scenic. I think it's the first one I have seen on the road since its launch, which must be a couple of years ago

Yesterday, a first gen Focus (54 plate). Looked in good nick too but the pale green colour looked quite dire.

I reckon the Scenic is one of the best looking cars for that kind of money. I'm quite keen on the Megane estate as well.

I reckon the Scenic is one of the best looking cars for that kind of money. If only Renault offered the Grand Scenic in Honey Yellow.... only the standard Scenic comes in that colour, and with the contrasting black roof IMHO it looks great. I don't know if Humph can explain why they don't offer all colours across the Grand Scenic, seems a silly decision IMHO

Saw one of the Maser SUV things earlier - Lavante? It doesn't really stand out at all from the herd other than the Trident, which makes me wonder is there really much of a point to it? The dusky, rather grubby, blue paintwork did nothing to help its case either.

The dusky, rather grubby, blue paintwork did nothing to help its case either. It gives people an alternative to the usual herd of German alternatives but the Maseratis really are quite rare. Your comment about the styling applies to the Quattroporte as well (there's a white one in the office carpark and its not particularly distinctive), the only one in the current range that stands out is the Gran Turismo.

I saw a new Evoque on the M6 Toll yesterday, grey with tradeplates. Thought it was a Velour that looked better than I expected from the rear and as I tried to work out why I realised it was an Evoque. Looked good, more modern than the original. The rear indicators are pretty small and try to scroll but aren’t really big enough.

From a distance, the Porsche 992. In the dark, you are not going to miss it, with how the centre part of the engine cover is illuminated. It looked fantastic, I need to see more of it to gauge whether I prefer it to the 991. I loved the 991.

My annoying neighbour who never uses her drive has swapped her black Merc for a black X6 with black windows and black wheels. Not only is it as ugly as a pig but the wheels look absolutely tiny in the massive arches. It looks like it has had 5 series wheels swapped onto it and they never changed the tyres! If they're the correct size then I hope whoever designed it got fired.

Had a brief chat with the driver of a black Aventador at local Shell just now. Striking looking thing, even if I prefer the Huracan. Not that I told him that, of course.

Just remembered I spotted a C43AMG the other day. White with a black roof - might have been a cabrio?
Today, a Q6 50TDi. Which, at first, I read as 5.0TDi. Doh!

Someone I work with had a couple of cars to plug a two week gap between company car, one of which was a Q8. He was telling me about it which included how quick but economical is was for a 5 litre engine.... Its a stupid engine naming system.

Not if it makes punters with no knowledge of cars pay extra because they think they’re getting a bigger engine. Sounds like marketing genius to me!

I think it is a totally stupid system for engine identification and like most people I don't have a clue what's under the bonnet of these Audi's
