^^^ It didn't look large enough, maybe a new sub-mini sized city car?

My neighbour has a new toy. He used to have an X5 40d, which he replaced with a C43 cab which he still has. Not a weekend toy as he commuted in it most days last week, but may just be the novelty. Hopefully the revving when cold and before he puts it back in the garage is too. Must have the sports exhaust because it does sound good.

Does the front door of that house really open onto a car park?

Does the front door of that house really open onto a car park? Certainly appears that way!

Does the front door of that house really open onto a car park? It really does, no way I would have bought it.

Does the front door of that house really open onto a car park? Such is the way with many new build estates, cramming a couple more houses into odd corners of the build. Yuk.

Black Anentador giving it full beans onto a highway. Man that thing sounded good!

Does the front door of that house really open onto a car park? It really does, no way I would have bought it. That's remarkable. I could maybe understand if it was an apartment block but they're clearly tried to make that to be a nice house, not my style but you can see where they're trying to pitch it, so why stick it in a field of tarmac? You'd think they'd have at least tried to make it mews-ish with cobbled bricks or somesuch?

^ I suppose one marketing trick would be to say that it has a no-maintenance front garden, for those who have little time or inclination to look after grass or plants

Most of the people with a parking space in that area stick the car on the road outside the front of the house, but his cars (Ewok and 2 Series) are always there as is the Mustang, which only goes out when it’s dry and warm.

However bad the layout of some of the frontages, that area certainly appears to be a magnet for those who like a decent car.

That looks good. Gets rid of a lot of the fussiness that makes the regular F Pace look quite dated. They should offer that bodykit on the regular car to try to sell a few more.

Heard rather than saw, just now. No idea what car it was, but the sound was so like a 70's BDA rally engine on full chat it was a little bit surreal. IK'll be on YouTube in a bit looking for Roger Clark vids I expect!

I've seen a few unusual motors recently. A Bond Bug last weekend being driven by a young guy. There's a house on my commute that used to have a variety of '80s motors kicking around in various states of restoration, they went ages ago but recently I've seen a Volvo 460 in pensioner gold, a cornflower blue Triumph 2000 and today, most excitingly, a Cavalier GSI.

...and today, most excitingly, a Cavalier GSI. Have you ever driven one? I drove new one years ago after driving an Astra GTE 16V (as I thought it would be more "sensible"), it was terrible. View fondly from afar young man...

I liked the Cavalier GSI (the Mk3 16V) I thought the engine was a cracker. It would be interesting to drive one today to see if impressions are the same almost 30 years later.

I haven't driven one, no. Exciting from afar it is then.
Anyway this morning I saw a Mk1 (pre-facelift) Fiat Multipla.

Saw a US spec Volvo XC60 on Swedish plates with Test Vehicle written on the back as I drove alone the M62 yesterday and a camouflaged Nissan Leaf on the A1m today.

A nicely kept older Audi S4 - am I the only one who opens a window when I see a car with a V8? - it had to cross me at a mini roundabout so I could get the full effect of the soundtrack - sounded a bit louder than a standard car too.

No, I do that too... What are we going to do when the world goes EV only? Someone will surely have to devise the automotive equivalent of putting playing cards in the spokes of your bike!

I see an opening for appearances of classic V8s which may explain me acquiring them rather randomly.

Not the only one and 7 months in I still start the engine before I close the door to hear it fire up with the exhaust valves open.

Saw a new Discovery with SVO badges on front and back. I didn’t hear it so don’t know if it was a V8 or not but interesting nonetheless.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m seeing a hell of a lot of prototypes around here these days, it’s good territory and we weren’t far from the buttertubbs pass at the time.

The other day I noticed that my sister in law's MINI Cooper was from Cooper MINI!
(it's in Reading, I think)
