Spec sensitive - ST Line X looks good, smaller wheeled stuff less so. The interior is a lot better and more space too.

My first '68 plate today; Jeep Grand Cherokee.

My first '68 plate today; Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'd actually forgotten it was that time again .. .. .. Ive seen a few this week, first one was an X2, followed by a jacked up new Fiesta (why?!), plus a couple of others I can’t remember and a Velour today.

I saw a 68-plate Discovery middle-lane hogging at about 69mph on the M3, on Monday morning

First one was on a Ford Ranger.
There's seems to be a 4x4 (or faux 4x4) trend in the sightings.

It was not 68 plate, but yesterday on the M40 I saw a Range Rover Sport in de-chavved spec. Sober dark colour, same colour roof, no privacy glass, smaller wheels. It looked great!

Tesla X D-60 on the way to the weekly joy rally (Asda). I nearly killed a learner biker too.

A few, wildly different, spots over the past few days. Firstly, two Citroen BX estates in the past couple of weeks, one green and the other (today) red. Both seemed in excellent condition for their ages, and looked to be daily drivers. A Macan in a weird shade of burgundy: not quite that, but not bright enough to be purple; notable only for that, really - I very liked it. A bright green Evora this afternoon, sounded quite nice too; got the impression he was pressing on a little! And something else I forget right now - it'll come to me.

I saw a 1996 N Reg Alfa GTV Twin Spark this morning. Looked to be in excellent condition and as an N it would've been one of the earliest sold.
Also spotted a Lexus IS-F on the way home last night, one of the original ones with the stacked exhausts.

Yesterday, in a torrential downpour at Keele services on the M6, a late model Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost open tourer (1925/26). They had taken shelter under the petrol station canopy, so I wandered over for a chat. Having driven up from the Isle of Wight they were planning to stay put until the cloud burst stopped. An hour and a half later I was still getting soaked on a farm nearby, so I don't know how long they waited before hitting the road again.

Saw a Vignale Mondeo the other day. Why are they still pushing this nonsense? That was literally the second one I've ever seen...

They’re much better now they have had the tree surgeon in to tidy up the front of their house and remove the branches that were hanging over my drive.

Yesterday actually - an F-plate 911. It looked tiny in modern traffic

Spotted a white Velar this morning and against my best instincts I think that's the colour that suits it best, so far. It had silver alloys too.
Still don't want one though.

Given the recent deluges up here, it was rather surprising to spot a Pug 306 cabrio yesterday and Audi 80 cab today!
Couldn't help thinking that taking the roof off a car designed originally as a tin top rarely works well - and it didn't with these two, which looked crap. The Pug really was teeny though I must say, while the Audi was, well, just a mess frankly.

Spotted a McLaren 650 spider followed closely by one of those’Vauxhall honest guv’ VXR thingies. LSII was most disappointed when I told him the epic noise was coming from the blinged up saloon rather than the McLaren.

Saw a Fiesta Vignale today. Quite a smart looking car with very nice wheels. The Fiesta has got to be the best looking car in its class by some margin.

I saw a Diablo VT spider yesterday. It still looks utterly epic and more of an event than the modern Lambos

Seen quite a few of these, they don't look too bad, they remind me of the Clio Initiale. And now from the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I was quite excited to see a Tata Nano yetserday!

In the multi-storey this morning I saw an immaculate Austin 1100 in, er, delightful mustard yellow. Ah, that rather disgusting shade of Dijon mustard? I remember it well; I think every model they produced then had that colour as an option, which a large majority of owner seemed to pick!

Yup. I remember it was also one of the colours on the palette for painting the interior walls at school in the 1980s!

There's a house across from Tesco in Cupar and I've seen for months that it has a fairly new Audi TT that has, I think, 20 inch BBS type split rim cross spokes with the spokes in gold. They look fantastic but sadly they're the only part as the car is white and clearly has air suspension as it looks to be touching the ground.
I was passing there at the weekend and the TT has now been joined by a copper coloured A7 with similar wheels and sitting similarly close to the ground.
Awful.

I passed through Cupar (both ways!) last Sunday. Can't say I was anywhere near Tesco right enough.

A Honda Jazz doing 90mph!! - probably explained by the little Europcar logo on the tailgate.
But even more notable (not on the same day), a first time spot actually on the road in the 37 years since they first appeared, a DeLorean - parked up with a local registration - as you might imagine it was drawing a lot of attention.
