Ed in his yellow GT4 leaving the M40 just in front of me and again on the A34 when he caught me up (only because I was turning off....!) Quite a striking colour, but it works on the GT cars. Lots of supercars around Silverstone as you’d expect this weekend, saw an XJ220 on the M40, only the second one I’ve seen on the road. Martin your car looks really good. Apologies for being really slow at realising it was you, blame 3 days at Silverstone and me being knackered. I also didn’t recognise the plate so discounted it being you. Thanks and no problem, yours is a lot easier to spot than mine!

Waiting in a queue of traffic last night the lane to the left contained a Tesla Model x followed by a lovely Mustang followed by a Tesla Model S!

A beautiful condition and sparkling blue metallic Corrado VR6 with an after market exhaust. Lovely noise but what used to be considered quick is now really pretty slow. I don't know if he will ever admit to his friends that he was demolished by a diesel.

Come now, be fair; not exactly a boggo diesel, is it?

I was followed into the petrol station in Cupar last night by a white Nissan GTR and then this morning I saw another white GTR in Dundee but with a different plate. They're common!

An original TT convertible with the roof down this morning on the A420, nothing interesting about that, but the driver was wearing some of the largest over the ear headphones I’ve seen!

That used to be illegal, did the law change? I know I see a lot of people with ear buds in, even in modern cars that I know have bluetooth, etc.

It is not specifically illegal but you could be prosecuted for other offences if distracted or not in proper control. It is, however, stupid and he probably looked a right nob head.

I briefly followed a Vauxhall Grandland this morning. So, which came first the Grandland or the new BMW X2 because, from the rear at least, somebody's been out with the tracing paper.
In fairness to VX the X2 is identifiable by the dogs breakfast of extra feature and cut lines sprayed across the rear whereas the Grandland is more restrained.

A very nice Sapphire RS Cosworth this morning. Very nicely looked after; not 100% sold on the colour though!

Spotted last night in Glenrothes a Trabant. It was gradually failing to proceed around a roundabout.
Also saw a Lexus IS-F, older generation, on the Tay Bridge yesterday.

This morning; coming the other way down Roehampton Vale: the first fully-chavved Bentayga I've seen.
I mean, these things are hideous un-chavved but wider track, bulbous bodykit, matte-black accents in dark grey...... I very nearly crashed!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_DA42#PowerplantsWednesday while enduring the joy that is Asda. The same woman was there with her child and saying that Bess was still an Audi and the (Pink) type 1 was much prettier. I once again pointed out that Bess was a VW and suggested an appointment at the opticians would be in order. I digress, the aircraft had a strange sound to it, slightly turbine like but with an undertone of twin cylinder motorbike bark. 1.7 or 2 litre DIESEL powerplants. I wonder when the regulators will remove these by legislation, or increase in air tax or whatever..... Apparently the RAF have/had two.

We were waiting in the queue for the Corran Narrows ferry (just south of Fort William) and saw a Ferrari Daytona Spyder as it left heading the other way - onto the Arnamurchan Peninsula. Can't say if it was a real one but I'm pretty sure it sounded like a V12.
Also saw an Isuzu Vehicross at a small garage in Milnathort.
There was a Dodge Ram SRT10 in Pitlochry on Sunday too. That's the Viper engined pickup.

It does indeed share a lot of rear end similarities to the VX Grandland and from the side looks like a squished version of a first gen 1 series. But I've got to say that it is the best looking and best proportioned of the BMW X series so far.

Agree with that although from dead ahead it looks as if someone has lowered the roof a couple of inches by using a very large iron - the top of the screen is very straight and there's barely any visible metal.

I upload on iOS all the time but on a iPad. On an iPhone you need to use the Tapatalk app or scroll the the bottom in the browser and click desktop. If you click reply (rather than use quick reply) the button is there to upload.

Smart Cars. Lots of them. I’m in Frankfurt where they are evidently a lot more popular than in the UK.

There would be a cost involved in terms of bandwidth if the forum hosted its own images.

Saw a new Focus today. Cheating slightly, as it was parked out the back of the local Ford dealership, but I went over and had a bit of a gawp anyway. Not convinced that it looks better than the old one and that were no looker...
