That Aston is a mega spot. 525k and only 99 built. I've seen another at the Shell garage opposite work and actually had a proper look at it, the quality of the bodywork is something else.

Yesterday I went to London for a few hours and I saw one of the LEVC taxis. It's instantly recognisable as a London Cab, but different.... not exactly modern but a variation on the old theme That's what it was; I saw one in London this weekend, I knew it was a taxi but I'd never seen one like that before.

I saw a couple of those in Glasgow yesterday (maybe the same one seen twice!) Also saw a much rarer Lada Riva.

That Aston looks great but when will they finish painting it?

^^^ Cheers Chris, a really interesting watch.
It was either Wimbledon or Notting Hill where I saw it; on Sunday

Saw my first two of the new XF estates on the motorway yesterday. One is that rather nice bright metallic blue. In the metal is looks way better than the photos, which make it look too long in the rear overhang.

I was in St Andrews on Saturday evening and saw not only a lovely sunset but a 1988 F Reg Peugeot 504 pickup! It was in decent nick as well, the load bed looked as if nothing heavy had ever been put in it and there was no sign of rust anywhere.

I would love a 504 Pickup!

I would love a 504 Pickup! No you wouldn't, I drove them new and even then they were absolutely awful to drive, uncomfortable and with terrible engines. Made my Mark 2 Escort feel like a limo in comparison.

Looked OK actually, like a Peugeot 5008 without all the crappy chrome bits.

I think you mean 3008?
The smaller one (Crossland X) is much, much worse. The name is on par bad.

2-wheels rather than 4, but spotted a Moto Guzzi Le Mans and Laverda Jota (in proper orange colour scheme!) riding together on the A9 yesterday, between Perth and Bankfoot.
Then today, also on the A9, a BMW K1 in red. These were notable as (I think) BMW's first foray into straight-4 motorcycle engines after many years with boxer twins and also had ABS brakes as an optional extra. Not everyone's cuppa I know, but rare bikes even in their day, never mind now.

Sometime last week.. can't remember which day, but as I was leaving the M3 on my way home I saw a driving school car with full L-plate livery and roof box "L" sign joining the motorway. First learner I have seen taking advantage of the new law

One of my mates has just treated himself to a Moto Guzzi 1000 SPIII (otherwise known as a Spada 3, I'm told) which looked very nice in the sun on Saturday. He also owns a 1979 V50ii inherited from his dad. I've seen that one too, in bits in his garage

Nipped into Morrisons in St Andrews last night and parked next to an Aston Vantage V12. Lovely car with massive carbon ceramic brake discs only let down by the bonnet vents (which mark it out as a V12 I think) which make the front view a tad fussy. Mrs Tim said she prefers the Nissan According to the MOT history checker we were lucky to see it as at 6 years old its only done 9k miles! Also spotted a Citroen SM in dark blue, an unusual colour. I was surprised how wide it was given they're from the early 70s. They must've been huge in period.

R8 in convoy with a McLaren in Cheshireshire yesterday afternoon. Latter looked better (I can't gel with the new R8's looks), but the former sounded so much better even though they were only pootling around. I think the McLaren was one of the 'touring' bodied ones, but it wasn't in sight for long.

I saw the rear view of what I thought was a facelifted Audi Q2 but actually it might've been the VW T-Roc. Still not sure. I wonder what the emissions level of the VW Group photocopier is and whether they've massaged the results

A real glut of Alfa 147's tonight for some reason. All different (as in, not the same 2 or 3 seen often) I saw 6 in different streets/roads in the space of about 15 minutes! Most odd, especially as I haven't seen one for months!

Ed in his yellow GT4 leaving the M40 just in front of me and again on the A34 when he caught me up (only because I was turning off....!)
Quite a striking colour, but it works on the GT cars.
Lots of supercars around Silverstone as you’d expect this weekend, saw an XJ220 on the M40, only the second one I’ve seen on the road.

Saw an original Audi Quattro yesterday and I've seen 2 Morgan Aero 8s in the past week (definitely not the same car).

Apologies for being really slow at realising it was you, blame 3 days at Silverstone and me being knackered. I also didn’t recognise the plate so discounted it being you.
