Do you not think that it was always a pipe dream?

I have a feeling that the newly advertised Quality Engineer jobs at GMD are partly connected with this TVR, but I can';t be sure......

My worry for them is that by the time they eventually get a car to market the world will have moved on and it simply wont be relevant to what buyers want. I love the idea of a 5.0 NA V8 with 500bhp but, let's face it, I'm not one of the one's likely to be buying it! The rest of the market is using turbocharged V8s and for good reason, not least that it helps with emissions. They're now looking at 2022 for first production having unveiled the car in 2017 and a lot has happened in those 5 years to really change the marketplace they were targeting. I really hope it works and we get to see a new TVR on the road but I think it'll have to be in a different form to what they originally envisaged.

I hope there will be a core of people interested in more analogue cars, then there is the Gordon Murray car which also harks back to a different time where weight was more of an issue than technology. They will if they survive, get time to alter engine options and include more modern tech. I hope so.

^ Well, it won't be in production long before it will have to have electric second motive power source.
I've not seen anything about smaller manufacturers being exempt from producing vehicles powered solely by internal combustion engines and also wonder how Lotus, Morgan etc will manage
