Well I'm probably in the minority because I found his presentation style generally rather irritating, but I still mourn his passing. A decent innings though, and a life very well lived.

I don't think I ever watched a Brucie show all the way through aside from some Generation Game episodes in the 70s. I acknowledge him as a popular entertainer but he wasn't my cup of Assam.

He seemed to have a large following among the older folk but always came across as a thoroughly decent bloke. To remain in demand for as long as he did, Brucie did indeed do well.

He did not seem to age from the 70's till now, you could sell that for big bucks, let alone Buck Rodgers.
