Except there won't be any kind of common sense applied to the debate - it'll be a push for electric only and no alternatives will be considered.
I was reminded recently that an acquaintance who bought an Audi Q7 when they were first released had it vandalised and there was something that made it clear it had been done as a protest against the environmental unfriendliness of such a vehicle 9mybe a note had been left, I can't remember exactly). I just wonder how long it'll be before cars that are obviously large engined will start to be targeted.

Petty minded wankers will always target what they themselves perceive to be an injustice. I note that this year's Green Party Conference is in Harrogate and that they advocate using coach and rail travel to get there as opposed to cars. East Coast use Diesels on the mail line and the incoming fleet is bi-mode, so still diesel and road coaches are clearly not running on fairy dust. Until they all arrive by horse or shanks' pony (can't go by bicycle: manufacturing them uses up all kinds of fuel and chemicals) they can feck it.

Horses aren't the solution either due to their emissions.
They should be having it online to save the need for any travel!

Petrol engines aren't going anywhere - they will become hybrids though with the battery part of the propulsion becoming more significant.

They should be having it online to save the need for any travel! Quite. The irony of the Green Party all travelling to one place to host a conference is probably lost on the lot of them.

From what I have seen, I hope this works as well as it sounds, it could catch on.

There is so much congestion in almost every town and city these days that electric propulsion for town driving makes a lot of sense.

It depends though doesn't it. We're back to the 'how is your power produced' argument again.
