If the GB Wheels ones have TPMS sensors fitted then that cuts the difference down quite a bit. Maxalloys state no TPMS in the wheels.

I seem to remember it was "how much???" expensive for my Jag when I bought wheels without TPMS sensors already fitted.

There are two Facebook groups you might want to consider viewing/joining: BMW Owners Scotland and BMW owners Scotland buy/sell.
There is a guy called Steve Ward from South Shields who has a set of 19" staggered 442m wheels and pretty tired tyres for £550. Pretty sure they fit the F31/32

What style are they? For the right price I could take them off your hands if you were prepared to ship them

Non-staggered 18s which were one of the correct OEM winter sets for my car but perhaps not what you are looking for: this is the only photo I can find on this phone right now. Pirelli Sottozeros which I would replace as although they have ok tread, I think they are from 2015 and winters work less well below I think 4mm. One has been refurbed and they have the odd rim scuff but nothing unsightly.

They are actually a sort of bicolour finish - a sparkle silver on the outer surfaces of the spokes and a light grey on the inner surfaces.

Ah ok, I was going to get staggered 19 inchers as I already have barely worn tyres for them

Oh well. I was going to try and shift them in the autumn but no tearing rush.

I’ve just bought a set of 20” Exclusive Design wheels in Satin Platinum with N0 Michelin tyres, colour centre caps and TPMS. They are used, but only lightly and are advertised as ‘immaculate’, the rears have 7.6mm and the fronts 8.3mm. I’ve bought them from the same Porsche parts specialist I got the Boxster winters from so I’m pretty confident they will be as described. At £1,400 for a new set of summer tyres, which despite being Panamera specific (ND0), look like they will still only last about half what you’d expect (memories of 10k miles from the Boxster rears) and with the expectation winters will last much longer and the wheels have some residual value, I don’t expect them to cost me much at all. Interestingly, the tyres are the same width as the summers, 275mm & 315mm…. which seems huge for winter tyres. The summer rears are exactly the same size (315/30x21) as a 992 GT3, which is crazy and the winters will be slightly wider as the GT3 runs 305s. Not as nice as the summer wheels, but they are £6,900 from Porsche so I wasn’t going to buy a matching set.

Well packaged! It doesn’t look it from the picture, but it does have 7.6-7.7mm of tread on the rear tyres and the fronts are a min 8mm.

Just had the winters fitted on to the Mini. Where we have our place in Italy they are compulsory between 15/11 and 15/04.

Dare I say that if they were silver, I'd probably prefer them to the ones fitted with the summers. Probably as they are an inch smaller too. I think I'm regressing to the 1970's... cars will be running 16 inch wheels.

I think I'm regressing to the 1970's... cars will be running 16 inch wheels. It's an age thing I'm afraid! Although I spent 30mins in the back of my dads 630 GT on Saturday night and it did ride very nicely on its standard 19" wheels, very nicely considering it has non adaptive M Sport suspension (rear air suspension will help though) and RFTs. Easily 7 series amount of room as well, a really underrated car imo. So I was right, it is an age thing, although I don't think cars look better on the smaller wheel options!

The 6GT has the same wheelbase and architecture as the 7-series so not surprising to hear it benefits from the space and comfort from its more ‘premium’ sibling.
I’ll never be a fan of the looks but I can totally understand the appeal and agree it’s underrated.

I’ll never be a fan of the looks but I can totally understand the appeal and agree it’s underrated. It does. The other benefits are a huge boot and most importantly, a higher driving position which as he's getting closer to 80, is more and more important for my Dad. He has a 'very strong dislike' for all SUVs, so I can't see one of them ever being an option, which leaves him sticking with the 6 series. He would like a new Flying Spur, but my Mum is Financial Controller and won't give him the budget!

I didn't know there was such a thing as a 6 GT, is it simply the direct replacement for the old 5GT?

I didn't know there was such a thing as a 6 GT, is it simply the direct replacement for the old 5GT? Yes. It's based on the 7 series platform but with a 5 series interior and a normal hatchback. It's got 7 series rear legroom, a slightly raised driving position and a huge boot, 600 litres (1800 seats down) vs 560 litres (1670) in the 5 series estate. It had a better standard spec than the 5 series, including panoramic roof, voodoo lights, memory seats and a couple of other things. My Dad bought his 630d new in March 2018 and loves it. Bluestone with comfort seats, Ivory leather / Wood trim, surround cameras, towbar and heated rear seats iirc
