Our magnificent Churchillian ex PM has fallen on his sword at last after having been proven to have lied to parliament. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke! And what a shame to see Nadine Dories going with him.

Boris and Sturgeon copping it at the same time, perfect weekend!
Except I was actually competing in a 24 hour running race, as a relay, on the hottest day of the year, which was a tad warmish.

Isn't it funny hoe people change their tune. Whenever anybody else was accused of anything - especially if they were English or a Tory - la Fish was the first to cry "burn him". Now that she's been arrested as a suspect in something out she trots with the "I am innocent until proven guilty" line.

We had friends round on Sunday when the news broke and with them being Labour and Tory (I think the secret to the success of their married life is to never talk about politics of their own parties) they were overjoyed with the news about Sturgeon, hoping some wrongdoing was found.
Of course their delight at her possible misdemeanours didn't stop them, shortly afterwards, asking us to help them cheat the system for holiday home availability to avoid a tax bill........
Anyway I expect that'll be the end of Independence for a good long while as Yousuf hasn't shown much in the way of the rallying personality that's probably needed to sustain it.
Mind you never say never, if BoJo ever does get back into No 10 he's the sort of person that could galvanise support again.
