BoJo appeared in front of a committee yesterday insisting he didn’t deliberately lie or mislead Parliament. So let’s vote based on the very sensible options offered in this poll.

Combo of second and third one, so went for the third! I do think he's someone a bit like Trump who just lacks honesty, full stop, which his private life would seem to bear out...

Could be any of those 5 to be honest.
I blame Angus Deayton. If he hadn't got sacked for doing lines with brasses BoJo would never have got the opportunity to present Have I Got News For You. and present a persona that the public found appealing and voteworthy.

You missed one, () Confused the whole affair as an episode of "Have we got news for youhoo too" and studied the wrong subject.

Any of the above and I possibly agree with the Trump analogy but as with Trump there's the appealing directness and rile against the globalist swamp effect too and the suspicion that his enemies are so desperate to "get him" they'll lose all perspective and throw their own morals together with any and all democracy, legality and decency out of the window in any and every effort to destroy him professionally and even personally. I suppose this is a part of the feeling of entitlement some have, a feeling of "I'm right and I hold the moral high ground and I'll cross any boundary and do anything to destroy that vile Brexit/racist/populist/Terf loving/LBGTQ++ hating/global warming denier person" mentality some have.

".....do anything to destroy that vile ...... Terf loving ...... mentality some have." Careful with that bit. People trying to protect women's spaces from non-operative transgender individuals are being classed as TERF and subjected to far more vile rhetoric by those that refuse to accept biology.

People trying to protect women's spaces from non-operative transgender individuals are being classed as TERF and subjected to far more vile rhetoric by those that refuse to accept biology. I'm aware of the issue. My point was that some who think they're on the right side of history are prone to labelling and hurling insults and threats to the point that their claim to any moral highground begins to look decidedly dodgy. I do believe that there's an element of "get him at any cost" regardless of any lack of proof or legality in this, if there is indeed any lack of it. And on the subject of spaces. I've seen people self identifying as female in the Middlesbrough area displaying no obvious femininity what so ever and it's no exaggeration to say that I'd be just as (un) convincing in women's clothing and I can see the view that they shouldn't be anywhere near female spaces. On the OH I've seen ladyboys in Thailand and I didn't know what they were (apart from looking very feminine and very attractive to me) until Mrs WW told me. I don't know how people like that should be catered for in the UK as they could indeed be under real and foreseeable risk if using men's spaces or facilities. People like that must be a tiny minority compared to the self identifying but they and their needs still need to be considered.

In the middles ages there were professional hermits, I can see it becoming popular again. What with Woke and PC at the same level of infection or greater than Covid. I tried to access some veterans health assistance and in a lot of boxes ticled "Perfer not to say" due to each box having sub branch boxes. Only to be informed that "We really need to see these answers so go back and do them again". You cannot procede with them thar boxes being ticked how THAY want them ticked. I just stick to HB.

So the upshot of this all is that Boris is a lying bastard. Not exactly front page news is it?
What annoys me more is that our politicians are having to waste so much time going over party gate again when as a country we have so many more pressing issues which are actually affecting people's lives. Interest rates rose again today and inflation is increasing, largely due to food prices rises. So whilst the poorest are struggling to afford to feed themselves our parliament is more concerned about whether an ex prime minister was wrong to be given a birthday cake 3 years ago!

In the grand scheme of problems, whether Bozza had a glass of wine and some Brie or not I couldn’t give less of a shit. Let’s kick him in the nuts over the whole Brexit lies and fiasco and let’s get hold of people like Michelle Moan who profiteered through Covid with the dodge PPE and demand our money back. The government are using fog to distract from the real issues.

We should also kick Cameron, the man who called a referendum that had only 2 possible outcomes. One outcome was carry on and do nothing new, just continue with life, the other outcome ..... he never stopped to consider what would need to be done if the vote went that way (which it did) and then the entire government (all parties) did nothing for a further 3-or-so years (maybe we should kick all the MPs?)

That's a nice thought but actually the Prime Minister (former in this case) should be held accountable for the lies, misrepresentations, etc. Although it appears a waste of time - and money, a lot of money - we can't really all just agree that he did wrong so move on. I mean, he could stand for re-election in his constituency and actually be voted in. Are we all happy with that? I know they all lie, etc but none quite so blatantly as him. He needs to be finished as a politician after all of this.

Can I vote for all 6 and also add a 7th - that the covid rules were fucking stupid and needlessly complex.

Option 2. His entire life speaks to someone who genuinely believes he shouldn’t have to abide by rules. Even his school report at Eton commented on this.
Option 3 is of course also true but I think it is a by-product of Option 2.

Well now that the poll is closed I suppose I should offer a round up of the results.
Only two options attracted any votes (a bit like a general election then....in meaningful terms) with his serial lying shading his lying-through-arrogance personality. I'm in no way suggesting that we are a decent cross-section of the national community but it will be interesting to see just how severely he is dealt with after such manifest falsehoods. His arrogance is only to be expected and I'm sure no one in front-line politics can ever claim to be a humble person, but then again I might suggest the same about lying. Hopefully he'll find some other life-goal to be attained with no further input having attained it. Tottenham manager is probably a good role for him.....

I've heard he's in the frame for the new host of Top Gear. In which case the BBC can throw away the Health & Safety book and get him involved in some seriously dangerous stuff! It would be compulsive viewing.
