I'd like to know if these people really believe what they are saying or are they just following a script. Maybe their families are being held at gunpoint in case they say anything against the State! Who knows but there is some serious mental health help required. I think Tucker Carlson gave us the answer, no? Pretty sure it holds in Russia as in the US. That said, some of them are just irredeemably warped. I lost count, when I lived in Moscow, of the number of otherwise intelligent Russians who told me that of course we Brits just spent our time plotting how to invade and subjugate Mother Russia. A truly bizarre mix of paranoia and egocentrism. They refused to believe that this small island nation didn’t still nurse imperial ambitions and might logically have many other more pressing and achievable concerns in life, because for them Russia was so centrally important to the world order that why wouldn’t we be constantly wanting to conquer it? |
