That looks great. Enjoy it.
I like pale leather seats, but after two Jags with them I decided the impracticality for me - I pretty much live in jeans - was not worth the effort.

Nice car, WW.
I ordered mocha leather after over 5 years of champagne. Trouble is they just show a different shade of mess.

That looks very tidy, well done. Was it a main dealer, in which case I think they do a half day LR experience with every approved used car. It wasn't a main dealer, just a smaller independent family owned business which is possibly why it was well over £1k under value according to Autocar.

Thanks all. Yes, it's deffo a change from an MX5 Mrs WW has been desperate for pictures to send to her mam and she was also desperate to play with the sat nav so I had that in my ear today. Anyway. It was market day at the seaside and she took this opportunity to sit in the drivers seat for a photo. I don't know if I mentioned but she is Thai and of course they drive on the same side as us so driving here should be a doddle for her. She hasn't bothered so far but recently applied for her provisional and one day seen she might be driving this. She left her auto Nissan XTrain with her family in Chonburi.

Nice spec - I'd be forever cleaning such light seats though!
I'd get rid of the Getz but keep the MX5 - and maybe swap the Getz for another fun car - having three cars does work if they're different enough to each other (although there are two of us who use them - But Mrs Grampa (Nana) only ever drives the Mini, and Sons-in-law who are quick to borrow the Elgrand).

The thing is that we look after my mam who is 93 with multiple issues so I really need a practical car that she can get into and which'll take a wheel chair. She can get in the RR but if Mrs WW is off in it and I need to take her anywhere it'll be in the Getz. I've told myself that I can't keep the three cars but secretly that's what I want to do as the MX5 and Getz are worth nothing and the running costs aren't significant... it's only the hassle of moving them about that's a pain. I'll keep the three until my friendly mechanic has checked the RR out and assuming it isn't going back to the dealer because it's riddled with issues I suppose the MX5 will grudgingly need to find a new home. Here it is on a day out... The last time I had three cars it was a red Elise, a black MK1 MX5 and a blue 1967 MGB Roadster. Those were all very different cars so keeping the three was easily justifiable They all made way for a 2.7ltr Boxster. I will cry if/when that MX5 goes.

If you are as attached to the MX-5 as it seems, then please don't sell it unless you absolutely have to. You would regret it and it would continue to upset you.
Just pay to keep it in storage if you can't keep it at home while your Mum is still in this world.
Nice Evoque, buy the way. Enjoy it and keep well.

I don't like the later ones with the large wheel arches and the very latest one seems to have gone so far away from the MK1/MK2 I think maybe they shouldn't carry the MX5 name, but others will no doubt love these later ones. Anyway, if looking for another MX1 or 2 in the future, I'd imagine good ones are going to be ever fewer. I'll have to think. The last couple of years have been life changing and I may take that into account.

The NC is a nice car with decent suspension. They still rust severely. We had ours refreshed a few years ago.

One of my friends has a 2019 ND model with the ~180bhp engine. Apart from the seats not being very supportive for a sports car, I think it's a terrific thing.
If I was looking for a 2 seat roadster I'd have one in a heartbeat. Decent value for money, small, light, relatively involving. The (orange) 30th anniversary models had Recaro seats as standard. If Mazda offered these Recaros in a future model, that would be tempting.
But definitely don't sell something that carries deep emotional attachment to you, until you are happy to let it go. Trust me on that one.

In your shoes, I’d keep the Getz for the occasions when it’s needed but definitely wouldn’t sell the MX5 - yes you could get another but it won’t be the same. We’ve not really got room for four cars (still have the Minor as well, but we manage - it’s certainly worth the hassle IMO.

I had a new black MK1 with steel wheels (I insisted the dealer put them back on ) when I last had three cars and a new red Mk2 later when I sold my SLK 230 (I'll put that down as the most disappointing car I've owned) and was waiting for my Boxster to arrive. I remember my last drive in it and thinking that I was making a mistake and I do wish I'd never sold it. The Boxster never really excited me and it was an idiot magnet too. I bought my current MX5 used when I sold my Jag S as I decided that I didn't like the newer shaped MX5's and it is a nice car but it's never felt as good as that MK2 I bought new and sold when the Boxster arrived. I can understand people liking the later models but for me the MK2 was the best beating the MK1 as it upgraded or cured a couple of little niggles. Of the two seat cars I've had the MX5's have always suited me best, better than the Elan SE, Elise and Boxster and the old MG's too as you can drive them every day and have fun every day. I'll have to have a long think. Mrs WW's provisional came today so she'll be starting lessons soon but time will tell if she wants to head off in a car by herself or not.
