What's with the Autocar website? Looks like they have decided to shoot themselves in the foot again in a famous re-run of the "let's lose our entire forum" debacle that ended with us all here eventually.
The site now tells you that you have to register to see content. I am a subscriber (paper and digital) for the magazine, but my logon for the digital version does not work. A help desk ticket has gone unanswered. I'm blowed if I'm going to re-regsiter so that they can bombard me with stuff twice.
WTAF! Looks like I'll just have to focus on other sites for my news in future.

I can't visit the site anyway, because I use an ad blocker.

They were asking to register last week but I've been on it this week and they are not asking for the info now. I use an ad blocker as well.

I think you only need a log in for the business stories. The usual stuff is all fine.
The comments sections are awful. The same 3 or 4 people with odd agendas/myopic bullshit.

Frankly it's been like this for a lot of websites lately. It's basically enforced data collection, and not something I'm really a fan of.

And today it's letting me view as usual. Same PC, same browser, nothing has changed.

They are still at it, the Toyota pulling out of UK article is behind the login.....they are all quite sensationalised headlines, a bit clickbaity

if it is an Autocar business story they let you read a couple then try to get your info. All of the other stuff is still there as normal. Try the one about electric Pandas.
The banner at the top changes when you are reading a business one.
