I presume he is married and now in some serious shit! He is married and she is as well. I read about it in the news this morning, apparently they weren't very discreet.

Haven't they worked together in the past as well?
It's just another nail in the coffin of people being compliant with any rules that are set by people who then get shown to have broken them.

Will he survive it? Being sacked by Boris for shagging would be like being sacked by Gordon Ramsay for swearing, but there’ll be a nasty backlash if he apologies and it goes away - he was doing this at a time that the rest of us couldn’t even hug a dying parent.

Clearly a Cummings issued picture.
“If I can’t get you sacked for being shite I’ll get you sacked for breaking the rules.”

..Being sacked by Boris for shagging would be like being sacked by Gordon Ramsay for swearing... Boris has indeed had his own problems keeping his trousers on. But at least, as far as we know, never in the middle of a pandemic where you are setting many of the rules of what people can and cannot do. And Boris seems to have that Teflon ability re trouser incidents - same as Clinton did. I think Boris has to sack Hancock. Sacking him will also make is easier for Hancock to become the fall guy for anything else bad that comes out about the government and Covid as inquiries are demanded.

We were told Boris couldn't sack him because it would like he was doing what Cummings wanted (again). Now Boris can't sack him because it would look like double-standards. Cunning little rat our Matt. Although possibly he has a tougher job why he employed her as, ahem, a close aide at the taxpayer's expense. She didn't need the money - her for-the-moment husband founded Oliver Bonas so they can't be short of the odd £20k or so.

A disaster for the government as I can't believe anyone is stupid enough to want to take over from Matt Hancock. I assume Boris wanted to keep him in his job till all the Covid stuff was sorted and then could blame Hancock fully for the cock up on his way to another 4 years.
Still its probably the best Hancocks performed during this crisis as he's batting well above his average with this new woman

What if a senior politician (let's call him Hatt Mancock) had been having an affair for quite a while with a women he'd know since university (lets call her Nina Colgate). As we enter lockdown Hatt suddenly realises that it's going to be tremendously difficult to sneak off for a bit of extra marital action with Nina, so he comes up with a fantastic workaround - make her a special aide and a key worker so she can pop into his office for a bit of social undistancing when required. Its a plan his boss would be proud of!
In unrelated news Matt Hancock employed Gina Coladangelo as a special aide in March 2020 at the start of lockdown 1

Jumped after Boris failed to give him the push he should have done. He's fallen on his sword an honourable death for an honourable man. His children will be so proud.
Now it's time for Sav Jav to come in and clear up the mess. Still, at least Kier Starmer has finally piped up to criticise Hancock, took him long enough.
I've recently rewatched The Thick of It on Brit Box and like Yes, Minister, its amazing how little has changed in the world of politics despite the passing of time.

As a remainer I was very pleased. Having a government full of shaggers makes me feel far more European.

As a remainer I was very pleased. Having a government full of shaggers makes me feel far more European. It's almost like a nostalgic walk down memory lane to the political scandals of the 90s when Major went for a Currie and the lib dems leader was nicknamed Paddy Pantsdown!
