BMW should have made the M2 CS in greater volume.

Missed the first 10 minutes or so last night, but enjoyed most of the rest of it. Good too see, and hear, these cars being put through their paces.

A bit thin imo but they should do this every year.

I watched this yesterday on the ITV Hub and quite enjoyed it for seeing all these cars and the scenery. I did think they flitted between the cars a lot though and it would have been better had they spent a bit more of an extended period in each one. I didn't feel I really saw much of the cars on an individual basis (especially at Angelsea) or learnt much about them which, considering they had 90mins of TV in which to do it, could have been possible. They did put the names of each on screen and do a little talk but there wasnt a lot on there and they didn't show near enough. I know Evo is about the drive but the cars interior is still important to those watching. It would have been good to have divided them up between the 6 motoring journalists and got them to do a bit of a walk around of each and a lap of the track. I don't think they showed footage of a full lap in any of the cars and some footage (such as the spinning of the Nomad or the drift of the Hurrican) was repeated multiple times. Most of the footage of them talking about a particular car only had their head in shot and the car nowhere to be seen! This got worse in the second episode where not one car was shown doing a real proper drive for much more than 30 seconds.
The revealing of the final three and the announcement of the overall winner could have been done with at least a modicum of fanfare. Instead they seemed to be just chatting about the last three and then randomly mentioned that the *** had won. There was also little explanation of how they decision was finally reached or what the scores were in each round, but perhaps I'll have to read the magazine to learn more. Would it have been a bit too cheesy to have a scoreboard on screen?
So whilst it was great to see this come to TV (we don't have much motoring telly) I came away quite disappointed that it didn't feel like it had been properly thought out and you could really tell that these guys were not TV presenters and whoever edited it had not seen a car review program before. But then maybe this wasn't meant to be a review of the cars.

I agree with all of that, it felt like a missed opportunity as a program for the 'enthusiast', which is the only person who would have watched it. Worth watching for the Huracan howl though, such a contrast to the terribly dull sounding Ferrari.

I watched it yesterday and agree, it was poorly put together and you nearly missed the fact the BMW had won. The Yaris was raved about and then just seemed to be forgotten.

I think Chris Harris does car tv much better but if they really thought about it they might improve.

The Yaris did just suddenly disappear. It would have been much better had they done a bit of a third place shoot out with the Lambo rather than just chopping it off and then have a final reckoning between the McLaren and the BMW to build a bit of tension and interest. Maybe some would say that's being a bit too overdramatic but this is TV. It's meant to be overdramatic!
