Having read up on that it makes a good case for itself to me. Looks better without the wing too.

Wasn't the Touring restricted to a manual gearbox? That's likely to have harmed sales. Unquestionably the biggest factor ,that’s half the market . I’m not sure but I also think it only became available for the second batch of the gen 2 models,but I may be wrong about that . I think Ed's comment about rear seats could have also harmed sales but I've heard that the GT3 actually has a different floor to the regular 911 on account of it needing to be stiffer and have fixing points for harness and roll cage etc. This means theres no mounting point for regular seatbelts and isofix. As the touring version was devised later in the model life cycle it probably couldn't be changed but maybe they could do it for the 992.
