For those that are interested..... This Petronas Yamaha scythes between Vale and Maverick: they're accelerating out of the 40mph turn 3. Then the Ducati of Zarco somersaults over their heads. I thought missing the first bike was lucky.... this was miraculous! Maverick has his hands up instinctively (he's not going to stop a flying MotoGP bike!) and then he got straight back on the gas as he didn't know if they's red flag it! Vale looks over his shoulder as the bike in the background has just flipped over his head. If you see the reverse camera shot from Maverick's bike it looks almost a casual glimpse behind. Vale also nailed the throttle immediately afterwards.

I've watched the video a few times and it is a miracle that no-one was hit and at the speed those flying bikes were going, killed!

How many parts to THAT clover? Crazy stuff glad nobody got badly hurt etc. The GP2 one was even worse! No pics, but Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin came out of turn 1 in a slipstream, pulled out and was immediately confronted by the now-stationary bike of Enea Bastianini, which he hit at well in excess of 130mph - probably a lot more. Both bikes simply blew apart, and how Syahrin escaped with no fractures or serious injury really is a miracle.
The videos are out there if you care to look; personally, having had a couple of 'offs' in my younger years, I found them quite disturbing.

Likewise, I was taken out by a Jaaaag XJ driven by an old duffer probably on the way home from the Horse and Chestnut or something. I can remember the whole world going round and I ended up going through a hedge, a fence and landing in a soft spot on the farm behind the fence, right near the Catterick race course. My brand new leathers were a right off. Pun intended. Nothing more than bruises to me and my pride. I had been overtaking and he just "Didn't see anyone on no motorbike".
I have had several thoughts about going back to two wheels but it's not on the cards now, lots of great memories.

Yeah that Moto2 crash was an unbelievably bad accident because you’re right: he hit the bike on the track with unabated speed.

Not only is my daughter (still) against it, having seen a bike accident a few weeks ago (guy was lying on the road, in a layby at the side of the A9, lots of fellow riders around him) Herself said, quite categorically, "You're NOT getting a bike!".
That actually made me think again - about getting one! Hadn't been in my mind for long enough, but being told "No"? Not liking that one iota.

Bikes seem to be getting heavier (Or is that just me) and frankly my bones would not allow me to get away with much. Getting punted off like that now would probably have only one result now. A superlight sports car with a bike based engine like these www.h1v8.com/page/page/1562068.htm has a lot of appeal but paerhaps when I win the lottawot.
