I was close to getting a 4S Diesel a couple of years ago, but it was a more than I was comfortable spending, so I bought the 750i and if we hadn't had a baby, I'd be in lightly used a Panamera Turbo now. This is a good example of the residual values. It's just over 3 years old, has done 40,000 miles and the list price (now, would have been less) is £76k and they want £53k. It's not even a nice colour/spec. finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/Panamera-195493 But if you tried to trade that in they would be talking £43K! Oooh that thing is nasty!

An interesting write up. For anyone with an interest in modern automotive engineering I think many of the high end BEV / PHEV offerings would be very interesting indeed. That is lovely.

This is it. The one you've all been waiting for: what shit-box has Big Blue rented this summer that he's going to tell us was a great car but he'd never buy one? Volvo XC60 T8 Twin Engine. ..... let's look at some cons. The first one is a huge one and one that would make sure I never purchased this car ever. The parcel shelf. Something I find a little troubling, TBH.... Volvo still can't design a decent parcel shelf for a hatch/estate car. The old 145 and 240's didn't have one at all, I think that the 850 was the first that did, and my recollection from my parents' old one was that it was rubbish... and here we are a couple of decades later and they still can't get it right !

But they are one of the few manufacturers currently who know how to design a lovely exterior and interior.
