Lovely car James - are you going to get a 3 pointed star for the bonnet badge? I am trying to decide, but probably will.

Very nice. I also prefer the traditional grille now seen pretty much only on the S-Class in the UK. A non-sportscar Merc without a gunsight star is just not quite the full cigar.

The only downside to voodoo cruise is that it can put the brakes on quite sharply if someone else pulls out in front of you making it difficult to overtake without taking back control of the accelerator as well as causing others behind to brake or take evasive action. But other times it works really well.

I hate the three pointed star on the bonnet of some Mercedes, it just looks naff and try hard, The sport grille with the big integrated star is much nicer.

I only like it on things like SLs and coupes. On the saloons and estates, the Sports grille just looks at odds with the rest of the car. IMHO. And the gunsight was one of the things I loved about my Merc.

Anyway, I thought bonnet ornaments were banned due to pedestrian impact regulations?

The Mercedes ones bend out of the way.
