How strange when they’ve done the opposite with the S4/5/6/7

I’m assuming, with the bull bars on the front, that model is for the Aussie market?

How strange when they’ve done the opposite with the S4/5/6/7 It is, especially when it makes more sense the other way around, that is the big heavy car gets the diesel engine to help with economy (a bit). Maybe it's because its not economical for them to produce the V8 diesel now its only home is in the SQ7/8?

Admittedly its anecdotal, but I see more current-shape petrol S5's in both bodystyles compared to 340i's and C43's. Not sure why Audi would risk alienating current clientele, performance diesels have always been a bit hit and miss in terms of sales, especially now. Then you have the issue of diesel restrictions in certain regions, which I don't agree with, but its happening.

There'll come a time in the near future when only us true auto enthusiasts will be driving diesel cars.

^ If we can still afford it and the govern mentals have not restricted the majority of us to cycling and public transport. Roads will be for the favoured few and more like express routes like the Russians used to use the central lanes of their roads. Party officials ONLY.
