AWESOME, thank god for some sport returning. Just need the Pubs to open so I can watch the racing with a pint in my hand.

They were going to do a reverse grid, but Mercedes voted against it unfortunately Good to see that Silverstone is back on, was in doubt for a while.

Would be fun but you'd have to change the direction of all the Kerbs which might be excessive.

No: the drivers would have to drive on the black bit. They manage it at street circuits.

That's a bit weird, drive on the black bits? We'll be asking them to change gear with a gated lever next. Mind you it would be interesting to see them manage that.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Silverstone could be run in reverse with minimal modification but most circuits would require major changes to the barriers at least.

Can you imagine Monaco in reverse? Downhill into Ste Devote, no runoff, with the pitlane entry on the left

They're meant to be the best drivers in the world (apart from the 15 who pay for their drive!) so I think we should expect them to cope with it.
Imagine a reverse grid and a reverse track. That'd be great.
I know from playing some driving simulators (mainly Forza) that even when you race a circuit you know well backwards its like being somewhere completely new.

S'only moving a few tyres around and throwing the tarpaulin back over them innit!

I may be in the minority but faffing with the races strikes me as ott. Decent formula and close racing for me means job well and truly jobbed.

Would be fun but you'd have to change the direction of all the Kerbs which might be excessive. The only circuit (or at least it used to be) with a licence to run races in either direction is Knockhill. Don't know if it's wide enough for two F1 cars to overtake! For the record I hated it is reverse - well over 100mph downhill towards the hairpin and into a negative camber left turn. Getting that right was about a one in 3 lap event: horrible.

Never managed to make it there for a reverse-run meeting yet!

IndyCar returns today, no spectators. Practice, qualifying and the race all in the same day. Its going to be strange.
NASCAR has been racing since mid-May and they've had no practice or qualifying whatsoever. Its been terrific, you see mistakes and set-up problems that you wouldn't ordinarily see. Could be a blueprint for the future.

He'll look like a muppet. His time whingeing at McLaren didn't help his legacy from doing well in a Ferrari that was never the best car. I like him as a driver but his political game playing is both unnecessarily divisive and basically shit - he can't do it well enough as Prost could and never seemed to get the in-team support Schumacher got.
