So as the Gorilla was being MoT'd I asked the chaps at www.bmrperformance.co.uk (can't recommend them highly enough) to look at the cold start stalling issue on the MINI.
They gave it a full software upgrade so time will tell how it goes. As I have no idea of the history of the car it was worth the cost of £150 for peace of mind. Whilst I was there I asked for a quote for a bonnet respray (lots of stone chips) and a 4-wheel refurb (which I can co-incide with new tyres). It's still the favourd toy.
In other my motors news I had the expansion chambers (exhausts to the uninitiated) off the NSR at the weekend for a clean out and a gasket change. The garage "stank of petrol" apparently after some two-stroke mix was spilled. I pointed out it is a garage and that's what they're supposed to smell like only to be told it's also got a large area where over-spill larder contents are kept. It's all evaporated now
