I wonder what comedy fuel economy claim they have for it (or has WLTP remedied that branch of fiction)? It will still be wrong, unless you do a lot of town driving. Watched the Harry M video on the new X5 45e last night, really interesting. Economy is more than acceptable for an over 2 tonne SUV, even on decent motorway runs. The bigger battery and 6 pot petrol engine makes a lot of sense.

Watched the Harry M video on the new X5 45e last night, really interesting. Economy is more than acceptable for an over 2 tonne SUV, even on decent motorway runs. The bigger battery and 6 pot petrol engine makes a lot of sense. I watched that too and he makes a good case for the X5. For most normal people who aren't doing 200 miles a day, a real life 50/60mpg is quite achievable and perhaps more. For the driving I do, I could probably manage about 90% of my journeys on electric only.
