Ultimate includes extended leather but does not include full leather, which both the black car and green car have.

I reckon the used car dealer will have paid about £45K for the green car but he probably won't take a penny less than about £3,000 profit and that's only after he has had it for a month or so. What are Lombard's finance rates like just now?
I have been told by a senior banker that they expect interest rates (or possibly just their margins) to increase in the next month or so. RBS/Natwest deals signed after the end of June will be on a new charging structure.

I don't think I'd bother changing. Hasn't yours got the MPPK too?
If i was going to change from what you've got it would be for something like a Guilia QF not an M4

As impressive as that list of options is, it does make BMW seem incredibly stingy given that many of those are included for free on your average Kia/Hyundai/Nissan/Renault and even Vauxhall models costing less than £20k. It amazed me last year when I had a new 320d hire car that it didn't come with Apple CarPlay despite it being a £30k+ car.

It's funny that someone forks out a load of money for a leather dash and yet the car still has the same cheap plastic switch and surround (bits you're probably far more likely to actually touch) for the lights as a poverty spec 3.
What's the list price on this 9 month old £45k car?
EDIT 'From 69k', so say £75k with all those options? That's some incredible depreciation.

You know you want to. The new ones going to be a horror so a late model in perfect spec seems the answer.

There are 128 sub 100 mile pre reg M4s on Autotrader and that won't capture the total number that are available, so BMW have a lot to get rid of. They start from £45k for the standard model, £48k for the Competition and £50k for the Competition with Ultimate pack. It's no surprise the green one hasn't sold and the price has come down, because brand new ones from a main dealer in white or black with black leather will appeal more to a lot of M4 buyers.

It's quite startling that something deemed so desirable and that looks like a bargain is actually possibly still overpriced!

I really like that green car and think it looks superb.
Apparently the new M4 is going to have c500HP which will be a selling point as will the fact it can circumnavigate the 'Ring a good bit faster than the old car due to a new and firmer suspension set-up. However on UK roads the firmer suspension and ugly nose may not do it any favours.
I met a guy recently who has an M5 Competition and he is thinking of selling it because his wife won't go in it and says it's too stiff. Mine is certainly on the stiffer side of normal but has enough compliance that I don't find it tiring especially as speed increases but BMW have to be careful not to go racetrack stiff in an ugly munter: the market for that, I would think, is relatively small.
