That’s expensive downsizing! Big cost to change and it’s already out of date.
I think the reality of moving from 5 series with 8 cylinders to 3 Series with 6, wouldn’t be worth the slight reduction in size.

If this was nearer £40k, I'd be all over it like a rash.

It would make a lot of sense at £40k. I see the new one having 4WD as a positive. I’m a convert, at least for anything that’s a daily driver with decent levels of performance.

Makes you wonder why the one owner has sold it after just 5000 miles and 6 months or less. The price seems a bit steep, especially as it is now a superseded model

And that’s in the dry! Although he did make a complete hash of it.

Indeed I think some wealthy people chop and change cars like you and I change shirts. Which is best done with cars that depreciate less than average like Alpinas.

£63k for a 4 series touring??? And it's missing the lovely stripes.

It’s lost £10.5k in just under 5 months, less than average as a % (maybe) but still a lot of money to lose on something like that.

Assuming list was paid, which seems unlikely.

Assuming list was paid, which seems unlikely. I don’t think you get much, if any discount on an Alpina. That’s what the salesman said when I went to Sytner Birmingham to look at a B3 Touring (zero discount even for an in stock car) and as it was a salesman, I checked and there were a couple of threads on Pistonheads confirming it.

The one careful owner may have been Mrs Sytner or one of the Sytner juniors, just to make it a used car and not a superceded new one.

There appear to be no pinstripes and therefore it’s wank.
Green with gold pinstripes and tan leather.id be all over that

Agreed that something like that would suit me very well indeed. It would have to be supplied by that dealer, with their sticker remaining in the back window.

I wonder what their courtesy cars look like? I do hope they're signwritten!

Nope: already smitten with the current (2020) B3 touring not that I’m in any danger of parting with the Gorilla as it’s still grin-inducing.
As to the German car: mine was originally supplied by Kuntz and I have lots of their service stamps. They’re the biggest Alpina dealer.......

Gladly the supplying (to me) dealer put his plate mount on.

Not sure I can justify it but it’s in my AT garage.
