Did a carwow on the X2 35i and it's going for around 10% off new but lightly used ones are already under £30K which tells me that's the way to go. If she agrees! The big "if" there.....

Under 30k already? Yikes. Only a few months go I watched a video where Joe Achilles drove one from Berry Heathrow BMW, it cost 44k. Its not like the sub-30K ones are lacking spec either.

Not if that’s the market price, no, but I think it’s too much for what it is and what I’ve read about it. I’d rather have one than a Juke, but there’s a long, long list of cars I’d choose before a Juke!

Well I never thought I’d hear anyone fighting for an X2. At that money I can only agree with Martin. What about a GLC 43 or X3 40i. A bit more money up front but not in real terms I doubt

What about a Mini Countryman Cooper S All4 Sport. Fully specced they are about £34K/£35K discounted new and Mini are doing 0% interest at the moment.

Just had a quick look on Autotrader and if 2WD is an option, there’s a lot of 69 plate (some with zero miles) for £22-£24k. I don’t think Simon is much of a fan of MINIs of any sort iirc?

4" longer than a Captur. Massive... Captur length: 4122mm width 1778mm excl mirrors X2 length: 4360mm width 1824mm excl mirrors 238mm difference or about 9 1/2 inches, and the Captur's not exactly small to start with EDIT: For reference, the Mokka is 4275mm long and 1781 wide excl mirrors, so the X2 is about 4 inches longer than the Mokka. I'm surprised the Mokka is over 150mm longer than the Captur TBH

The other point about the X3 40i and GLC V6 is that both are significantly more expensive second-hand for similar-age examples. Much nicer motors in either, but you pay for it.
