Ever since I’ve had this contract I’ve hated the fact that there’s no underground parking. I leave in 2 weeks and wherever I’m going has secure parking. So the next bike will be secure.

Shit on a stick, sorry to hear this. I take it the paper work starts here. How long do you need to wait until this is sorted? I'm guessing it is gone for good.

Insurer pretty quick to resolve normally. Finding another is the hard part.

I'm guessing stolen to order rather than just a spur of the moment thing, judging by the evidence you showed anyway.

I don't agree with Sharia law. But I can quite agree with chopping off the hands of the bastards who do this to people.

Bastards. Sorry to see that. Its always in the back of my mind with the Land Rovers. You're not the only one, most I see parked these days have steering wheel locks and aftermarket alarms. I've seen numerous appeals on Facebook for missing Landies too. As said on FB I'm sorry to see this has happened Jeff, not a nice way to end your day. The perpetrators are indeed cunts of the highest order.

Fucking hell.
Sorry to hear this, you must be utterly fuming although I suspect you are able to deal with this philosophically a lot better than I would be. Hope you enjoy its eventual replacement.

Bastards. Bike theft is totally out of control. Well, bike theft and all other crime. Sorry to read this Jeff. I hope it's sorted quickly and you find a good replacement soon.

Certain crimes impact the victim much more than the law ever recognises. I'd happily chop their hands off. Really sorry Jeff and I hope you find a replacement that makes you smile.

That's awful. I can't imagine how angry you must be - the most I had nicked was a stereo out of one of my MG Maestros and that left me furious for weeks and they didn't even cause any damage.
I hope its replacement is just as satisfying as it has been for you.

Incredible that this can be done in broad daylight on a busy street. Brazen isn't the word.
Really sorry for you.

Is there any CCTV footage of it? I'm assuming that it wasn't driven away and was instead loaded into a vehicle. If so surely that can be found snarled up in London congestion less than a mile away?

I detest having to lock my bike to the ground anyway: it’s acceptance of the failure of society’s standards, but having someone with a power tool cut through toughened steel in the middle of the afternoon unchallenged is the next level up!

Check the forums and see if anyone lost theirs recently, then go and pay them a visit to see if they've mysteriously got another, lightly used, one!

I thought of this thread this morning as I watched the news on TV from the comfort of the gym running machine. A group of bastards rob your bike from a locked place and put it in a van in a few minutes. Yet I watched as fourteen police officers (I know that as the reporter told us) took over 30 minutes to free two Rebellion Extinction arseholes who had chained themselves to a car.
I'm sure they have to ever so careful with these snowflakes, who were wrapped in kevlar blankets and made to wear safety glasses while the chains were cut, but seriously. They should just use the biggest fire-brigade emergency saw they can find and if the twats lost a hand in the process that'd teach the rest of them a lesson. Or maybe they should just cut the car apart like in an accident situation and leave them attached to whichever piece they were chained to and tell them to fuck off home and get the chains off themselves.

Whose car was it? If it was mine, I'd want the police to be pretty careful, "snowflakes" or otherwise.

They were chained up inside the car which looked like it was illegally parked. So my suspicion is that they brought the a car with them. It was a 2001 Focus saloon.

2001 Focus Ghia Saloons with beige interiors are an endangered species.
