I'm not throwing mud or insults, but I am suggesting that making certain comparisons makes a person's judgement highly questionable - for reasons I have clearly outlined.

Talking of hypocrisy it did suddenly strike me as ironic that a number of leading Brexiteers seem to be so fond of the US and the US way of doing things. There we have it, let's sell out to the USA and become the 51st State. We'd have no issue with exporting to, or importing from, the other States, and we'd have trade agreements in place with everyone else. The biggest "downside" may be that the Royal Family would end up displaced, with just their large bank balances to rest on.

In fact, to continue the Animal Farm theme...I am particularly reminded of the bit at the end of the book where the chant is changed from "four legs good, two legs bad" to "four legs good, two legs better"...
What a crock of shit (Brexit, not Animal Farm).
