Mrs Tim recently got a small tube of facial moisturiser that has an SPF of 30 and it's made by a French company called Vichy. Surely that's almost as bad as if a German company called its products Nazi. "Berlin", surely?

Urban Style....or something like that! Due to a lack of parking at on of my sites where the customer is based, we’ve been given a unit down the road to park in.....

I do have to go to Gatwick on Tuesday, though, so this tank won't last as long.

Pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s fantastic ‘in the flesh’, especially when the sun reflects off it. Still nervous about it getting damaged though.....it’s such a specialist paint job, shouldn’t have read about how it’s done and how difficult it is to get right! I love how little metal there is above the font wheels and the rear arches in particular. Best looking current BMW imho!

Along with non round wheel arches and hidden door handles the metal above arch is on my list. Hyundai Ix35 was a particularly bad one.
Your spec looks excellent, but there are a couple of 740d cars I see at the gym the are underwheeled and too chromey, and work nowhere near as well.

It’s sitting a little high in that picture as there is a speed bump just outside the unit, when it sees one it slackens the anti roll bars, softens the suspension and raises it up. My neighbours 740d has the no cost chrome option and it’s terrible, because it’s not just the window surrounds, it’s also the lower side trim / side vent, section above the front fogs and the lower part of the exterior mirrors.

^ I'm just not so sure about the look of a black hockey stick perched on a running board, on each side of the car

Looks sub zero cool in that photo. Agree about the lack of metal above the wheel arches.

Metal above the arch and stance is the reasons I never liked the look of the previous generation Fiesta, especially in 3 door trim. Yes it steered well and was the driver's choice, but there was way too much metal above the rear wheels and it always looked like it was tipping forward.

Just popping in to say hello, again. Hello again! How's China treating you. I've got to say I admire you going there. Having been to Shanghai once for work (in 2007) i thought it was a hell-hole and have no desire to ever go back!

It looks terrible in the picture but somehow less offensive in the metal. I've found myself looking at these recently. Time to increase my medication perhaps!

It's a lot better than I thought to be honest, although it can still be fairly chaotic. A lot has changed in the city over the past decade. A proper hell-hole would be somewhere like Manila or Delhi. Those are places I would never want to visit ever again.

Just popping in to say hello, again. Hi Ben, hope you're loving it. My sister-in-law and her husband have just moved to Malta after living for 2 years in Suzhou, about 60 miles outside Shanghai. They loved it so much they are hoping to go back to either there or Shanghai itself in 2020 for another few years.

Had a Monkey 47 with FT tonic the other night. Very nice but it was 12 quid! It was £7 for the gin, which was fair enough because it's expensive anyway, but a fiver (42 HRK) for the tonic is a bit of a piss take. Anyhow back to some randomness, I saw these Renaults earlier, which I assume are for rent.

Only time to see Venice - out of the tourist season. Lovely city.
Martin - did you do the airport to city in a water taxi? If not make sure to do it on the way back. Way, way cooler than a water barge. And if you book early, pay the guy extra and ask nicely, they will usually take you via the Grand Canal.

It was raining when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, so we decided on the short bus ride (20mins) plus the water bus along the Grand Canal instead. Thankfully the weather had been good today and looks fairly decent for the next couple of days. Will do the private water taxi on the way back, thanks for the tip as we’d definitely want to go via the Grand Canal.
