On the M3, I was overtaken by a BMW 3=-series this morning which then promptly returned to the nearside lane (of 3) !
Offset a few miles later by the 5-series that joined at The Hook junction, and who was annoyed by 2 streams of fast-ish moving traffic in lanes 1 and 2 that delayed him sweeping straight out into the BMW lane at a speed well in excess of the limit

A van driver was stopped outside the dealership earlier by the Police, he was there ages; a good couple of hours.
Anyway I went out to do something and noticed the van was still there with the Police car still parked up but no van driver, I looked to my left and there he was, with his son at the bus stop.
Mmmm, I thought to myself, obviously it is being impounded, I then decided to check the DVLA MOT status website, the MOT ran out in December and tax ran out September 2016, and whats the betting it wasn't insured either.
It has just been collected on a low loader, hopefully it'll be crushed and the driver will be sent the bill.

Hopefully it'll be auctioned and the proceeds go towards more policing to target similar arseholes!

A few months ago I saw a B6 Audi A4 that had been RS'd with big zorsts etc. I looked up the reg when I got home to see what it really was, a 2.5 TDI. The MOT on it had run out in November. Saw it again the other day and rechecked. Still no MOT.

How to make a nothing story into one about gay rights: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-43683033No, you muppets, you weren't refused entry because you are gay, but rather because you were an all male party. Doormen will refuse entry to all male parties if there are already too many blokes inside compared to women. It's happened to me loads of times in the past. if only I'd known to claim my mate was my gay lover we could have saved the walk round the corner to another bar.

Father has just informed me he has bought a Dacia Duster. He wanted a cheapish car to chuck in the garage when he comes to the UK. He is looking at exporting his Mondeo to Spain. No idea on spec, colour or anything.

Bought a new lawnmower this week. Does the job, starts every time and works well.
Is also the first I’ve owned to a kill snake on its first outing!
Edited because the word ‘kill’ went missing somewhere...

How do you proceed when you're in a skype call with a couple of your client's buyers in Houston and they introduce themselves as Brittany Whipple and Devon DiBona? I mean, that's not fair, how can you keep a straight face?

Tiny bull! Saw this Dexter calf the other day whilst out walking the dog. The little fella was only slightly taller than my dog.

Elder daughter got a Bosch Li-ion rechargeable drill a few years back. With light domestic occasional use, it blew up a few weeks ago. I bought her a replacement then queried the short product life with Bosch UK. Although it is out of warranty they offered a discount off a new replacement rather than any goodwill towards repair. It arrived today (I gave her the new one and kept the old stuff), supposedly the same model/type number but they have changed the shape of the drill body and the new one doesn't fit in the recess of the "kit" box for the drill. charger and spare battery ! Guess I will have to hack away some of the plastic supports/dividers inside the old plastic box :-(

I have done something similar in the past when getting dressed on a dark winter's morning. It makes you work harder because you have to stay at your desk!

Got my eye on a couple of things, but it will definitely be an estate, probably diesel and not new - or German! Herself and I are both looking for similar specced cars, but she's much less willing to compromise on certain things than me. For example, she is very keen to have a sunroof, whereas I can't stand them, insisting on leather interior where I could live without it - stuff like that. Front runners are Superb for her, Mazda6 for me, but we shall see.

It is sad, and I've constantly been in a state of flux about it ever since I did it, but it's the right decision I'm sure. Would have been nice to make it to 10 years of ownership, but it'd be worth about £2.75 plus a half-bottle of Irn-Bru by then!

BMW have a ‘Drivers Guide’ app, which give you all the info you’d expect to get in the manual, along with some animations which go into more detail on certain functionality, useful for things like gesture control. You need the VIN number of your car, as it tailors it to suit the exact spec, so you only see information on the options you have which is so much better than a normal manual.
I know a lot of people don’t bother with the manual, but I’ve always gone through it properly (usually while sitting in the car....) and with all the tech you get these days, there’s a lot to know and you could be missing out.

With large touchscreens becoming more popular, I don't understand why the manual isn't available to view and navigate on the touchscreen in all cars suitably equipped

I did edit my post (not sure why it didn’t update) to say it’s very similar to what you can access in the car, but has a bit more information and is easier to navigate. There's an argument that good design should be intuitive, minimizing the need for manuals. No one requires a manual for smartphones anymore. There's also the point that anyone with a Y chromosome should not be looking at a manual anyway.
