Sad, very sad and my thoughts are with his family/friends. He did look much older but I suppose stress will do that to you. He will be succeeded but replacement will be difficult.

I'd almost have put money on Bernie going before Charlie. Came as a total shock out-of-the-blue to me when I heard the news. RIP Charlie, and condolences to your family and friends |

It was a real shock to read that. Pulmonary embolism apparently, makes you wonder if the long haul flight triggered it. I imagine it’ll be quite an emotional race this weekend.

Really shocking and sad. Terrible timing too, literally on the eve of the new season.
Apparently he was responsible for a huge amount of stuff in the sport. He leaves behind really big shoes to fill.
