Oh that's what the A button did!! Pressed it and nothing happened but was stationary! How are you getting on with park being on the gear selector? I found it weird The BMW has an electronic gear selector (same as the 535d), so when auto hold is on and you turn the engine off it automatically selects Park and moves the selector back to the left if you’ve left it in manual, so I never have to press the button on the lever. The Golf has a traditional mechanical selector, which does feel quite old fashioned as you move it backwards and forwards.

^ Isn't the A3 about to be replaced by a new or facelifted model? They must be trying to shift remaining old stock

The dealer I'm at now is advertising A3s at £279 a month on PCP. One small problem is that they've stuck the offer details on an RS3. Deposit is £17,650 and the balloon is nearly 24 grand! That's bonkers.
