I guess there are 3 options, it’s interfering with something and causing an issue, it’s caused a fault that unplugging won’t fix or it’s nothing to do with the box at all. Helpful I know!

I'm sure I don't need to say it but don't mention the tuning box if you go for warranty work! What tuning box?

Is the tuning box removable in the sense of pulling it to see if the car starts to work as it should again? That way you'd be able to diagnose if that's causing the issue. Yes, a 5 minute job. All kinds of things can cause odd electrical gremlins and a full dealer diagnosis probably wouldn't even find anything half the time. But that is one option.

That narrows it down a bit! I'll see how it goes. If the box continues being a pain I will ultimately revert back to standard. Overall I do like this car a lot.
