Cheers, I noticed them on a follow up of Deep Purple. Still replacing stuff that "Went missing" during the move.

My music taste is all over the place. I tend to like a lot of very different music styles from Classical to Rap and many genres in between. As a result, I’ve a big appreciation of music being performed well, and found this channel on YouTube last year which has become a favourite.
Rick Beato is a producer who has a great way of teaching music and his “What makes this song great” series is fantastic.
Check it out if you haven’t already.

OK, I am rebuilding my music collection and have already been diverted in to Flying colours.
The only Deep Purple album I still have is "30, very best of".
There is obviously a lot of the more recent stuff I have not got into, too many other things to do and I am uncertain which albums are worth having and which, not.
Any suggestions?
I have tried listening online but "Sign up now" keeps flashing up and I just have zero interest in any of that. You thieving tube has adverts in the middle of any song I try to listen to there and they can poke that where the chancellor keeps his documents.

Thanks for that I'll look into their stuff later in the week.
What are the suggestions for a few albums from Deep purple so I can get a rounded selection?
I have some of the Flying colours albums from amazon but they are coming from Italy fcol.
Another little journey, finding the music collection growing again.

Deep Purple albums:- In Rock Machine Head The House of Blue Light (from when they re-formed in the mid-80s)
You should also get 'Straight Between the Eyes'and @long Live Rock 'n' Roll' by Rainbow.
If you like prog stuff but want a variation on it then try Opeth, specifically the albums 'Heritage', 'Pale Communion' and 'Sorceress'. Their output prior to these is fantastic too but they started off as a black metal band and have gradually drifted to prog.

Thanks, yes. On a list now though and I'll just have to go through it bit by bit.

Second Nature.
Third Degree.
Got them this evening and had a right job getting them on the ipod. apple do love fucking us around. "You must authorise your device to play music on it". WTF is that about. My device, NOT apple's. Bastards.
The music is good tho'.

Rick Beato is brilliant. He has a far better understanding of music theory than I ever will (or want to have), but I love hearing the intricacies of tracks. His breakdown of Boston's More Than A Feeling is epic on a whole different level. The sheer sonic genius in that song (The whole debut album actually..) is astounding - the guitar tone, the drums, the bass and Brad Delp's vocals are from another planet.

Sara has made a recommendation, not read it myself but Sara does tend to know a good book. By Haruki Murakami "1q84", it's some kind of alternate timeline and that's about all I know.

Amazon, they have some bloody weird links. I found one for about £10:50 in the end. I'm guessing that some people have an inflated opinion of the worth of their stuff and think we came from the sky this AM.

Sara is stuck with the audio books these days as her eyes are gone pretty much and she cannot hold a book anyway. However, 47 hours of audio book takes some bloody thinking of when you think about criticism of films....

Mrs P has been watching a prog called something like How To Make A Murderer on Netflix for what seems like weeks. I assumed it was about a different person per episode but, no, it's all about one case! Makes the basketball thing feel like a Tom and Jerry cartoon in comparison...
