They are registers at the import centre in Thorne near Doncaster which is why the registrations start with Y. Back to the OP.....John, been thinking about the essential list while driving down the M62 and you need to add HUD and surround cameras to the list, I assume voodoo lights will be on the list already? HUD is on the list as is adaptive suspension and surround cameras although I would settle for reversing camera. Other long standing must have items are sunroof, voodoo lights and upgraded sound, storage pack (if its omission leaves a blank somewhere as in M4), headlight washers which are not a legal requirement with LED lights as they were with Xenon, golf club sized boot and 4 seats. My daughter would like 4 doors but I doubt that will happen. 4WD is also a preference but as long as the price wasn't ridiculous I would settle for winter wheels and tyres. It’s a good list and won’t be too difficult to achieve.

Never had it but would be slightly concerned that it might change the feel of the steering.
Heated seats, however, are ace and yet another reason why I miss my beloved Fiesta ST.

You want heated steering wheels? To quote from "Madagascar"... "They are pansies"

I suffer from having really cold hands. The XFR is the first car I've had with a heated wheel and I love it. It is on way more than the heated seats.
You can tell we are all "ageing". Our list of now essential FG gets longer and longer....

There is no change in the steering feel and I will ignore the pansies comment.
I no longer need to stop at the traffic lights on those really cold mornings and blow into my hands or rub them together to warm them up - they are just comfortable and I am much more content.
The people who don't like heated steering wheels or can't understand them are the same as those who have never worn a pair of gloves - if they wore a pair on a frosty day they would suddenly get it.
My irritation with Mercedes is that a heated wheel is available as standard on a whole swathe of their range, is available on others as additional equipment and then, on other cars with the same wheel, isn't available at all. Makes no sense to me.

I wear gloves sometimes, but a heated steering wheel is way OTT. Once the car heater is up to temp, it’s more than enough I find

I do suffer from cold hands and I am often jamming my fingers in the hot air vents to warm them up. I just don’t like the sensation of a heated wheel.

I’ve got the solution. Panamera GTS. V8, 4WD, HUD an option (first time in a Porsche) and a heated steering wheel is standard.
You’re welcome.

Heated steering wheel....mmmmm. Yes: got one; love it but I confess to thinking it's actually a bit pointless. Fan vented seats however: must have. Had fan vented seats a few months ago in a rented Mustang that I got at SFO Airport. Stuck in traffic in 80+ degree heat. They were amazing. I’d go as far as to say they’re FG that I’d choose a car for.

I'd like a car with a heated wheel and then I'd fix it so the heating was on all the time and get Mrs Tim to drive that car every day. Hopefully then she'd stop trying to warm her ice cold fingers up on the back of my neck. Even after all these years she still thinks doing that is funny
