I'll give it a few years before enough letters fall off the back of a MINI C O U N T R Y M A N for it to be awkward in polite company.

“Copious switchgear” To be fair to Lexus the Japanese love lots of buttons: Is that a remote control for the garage door?

Shovel. Sack. Deep Hole. Dark Forest. That's an awful lot of X6's to bury though.

I like the Peter Wheeler tribute where they've made all the buttons look like cigarette lighters.

There's a lot going on there, especially in yellow under studio lighting. Headlights look like they're bodged in from another very similar looking car, especially where they fall away slightly from the bonnet-to-grille swage line.

My last one was 50105, which I missed.
Not long to wait until 50205 though.

I suppose the important bit of styling is the lower grille arrangement.
Because that's all you'll be seeing in your rear view mirror.

The E-Pace is a Jaguar Evoque to be less polite about it. I'm sure they share surprisingly few parts but it's that sort of size and I believe a little cheaper. They're going to be everywhere. +1 This will sell really well. That chassis which will now underpin the Evoque, Discovery Sport and now E-Pace will speak for quite a big % of total JLR production. Disco Sport is already JLR's fastest selling vehicle, overtaking Evoque in sales per month. Purely anecdotally of course, but we've just spent a week in SW Scotland and the dealer principal at Lloyd Carlisle must be leafing enthusiastically through yacht brochures, going by how many Disco Sports I've seen here.

Looking at that photo, you'd think a fancy house like that could afford a proper drive. Official now:

Nice pics, though I'd be tempted to stick the numberplate MOP4R on a Dodge Nitro diesel and park it next to this.

I like it mostly, although I'm normally doing a double-take as to whether it's an XE or XF from the front when I see one. I don't even mind the back. The doors in that photo look like they're from a different, squarer car though. (especially the rear door shutline vs the D pillar/rear wing)

I don't think I've seen a Punto any newer than a 62 plate. I genuinely thought they'd stopped making them. Probably sell well to rental fleets in small European countries. It's incredible the "Grande Punto" as was has been going virtually unchanged for so long. I liked mine when I had it and it was certainly one of the best looking small cars at the time, with that "mini Maserati" look. Then Fiat facelifted it and cocked it up somewhat. That new one looks OK to my eyes. I'd want to see a pic that isn't black against a black background.
Sicily's rental fleet seems to be mainly Corsas and the new C3s at the moment. We were there a couple of weeks ago and got a Corsa from Europcar with whatever the most underpowered petrol engine was. This was from the 'Panda or equivalent' class, so I suppose it was half a step up from that size-wise.

The BMWs were awful. The light bar on the black one was hilarious and I don't know how the red one drives with that amount of camber. They had full cages so I am guessing they were drift cars. The Range Rover was immaculate - literally not a mark on it. I took them for posterity as I can't understand why anyone would keep them on the road. One of the TVR members mentioned that there was a beautiful Marina Coupe on display. I did point out the inappropriate adjective but it didn't go down to well! I happened across 'Carry on at your Convenience' the other day, in which Sid James was driving a brand-new one of these. In beige, of course.
I flicked onwards straight away!
Not his usual mode of transport, to be fair.

What ho! Have to start getting used to this place place now, but I expect it will all be like home from home. Thanks again to Mark for organising it all. Agreed with the thanks. My posting on the old forum was intermittent at best, and while I can't necessarily say that'll improve much, it's always a good read.
