I've had the misfortune to encounter an S90 on the road and no matter how nice that interior is there is no excuse for the outside. None.

Looks pretty good to me in a light metallic on 20s.
Far more interesting than the 4 wheeled tedium that is the new 5 series.

Looks great until you get to the back end and then have to gouge your eyes out.
Only answer is to get the estate which cures the ugly arse of the saloon, are they as cheap?

Yes, I find it astounding that some car finance companies continue to get away with charging such figures in today's long term low interest rate environment when you can get mortgages at under 1% and unsecured bank loans at around 3%.
It was a big deciding factor in favour of the BMW when I was choosing my current car, because BMW were offering 2.9% APR versus between 5-6% from Merc and Jag, and nearly 7% from Audi. On a £40k car over 4 years that difference adds up.

Yes but there are generally much bigger margins on used cars so you should use the 9.9% as a starting point.
Also buyers forget that the headline rate has some room for manoeuvre by the garage despite it being through a 3rd party
When we bought the latest 320 we took dealer finance but refused the initial monthly payment (approx. £350/month) - the guy asked what we had in mind and Mrs Tim gave him a figure of £300. He got to within about a fiver. That was achieved by altering the rate and commission

I'd argue that the new Panamera has the nicest interior of any sub-£100k car. If it's not classed as a saloon then my left-field choice would be the new Kia Stinger interior (that looks tremendous), but again is that a saloon or an Audi A7-esque coupe thing? Nice as the S90 is, a traditional booted saloon only interior would go to a full spec Merc E-class though.

I had a good poke round a black S90 in R Design spec, in the Volvo showroom whilst my car was being fettled. What a very nice thing it was. Proper menacing in black, on the R Design alloys. It was a bit like a coal bunker inside due to the black trim and black headlining but it was a very nice coal bunker.

I like the front and the side and could live with the back. Good value if you are looking on keeping it a long time.
