Looks like your fence put up a good fight. Well the street sign he demolished was concreted in place, the he hit the anchor post (which is nearly a foot across) along with another fence post. The fact that he made it as far as the tree (which is a couple of foot from the fence) is pretty impressive

SEAT Leon’s are notoriously difficult to keep under control..... It would certainly seem that way. I tend to give all SEATs a wide berth.

We see the same thing happen often with left hand drive trucks swiping cars on their right. In this case the car has been down on his left and either cut across in front or he’s moved left into the outside lane not seeing the a Golf down under his passenger side door.

In between the trees of the last one mate. It's my fence he demolished. Along with he road sign which is under his car. Aahh; close, but no cigar (for me!)

He has a massive proximity mirror stuck out the front left so that spot isn't that blind. No excuse to barrel down the road like that. That DAF isn't that tall he wouldn't have been able to see him. I think he may have been making a point to the Golf driver.

I think he may have been making a point to the Golf driver. Exactly, the front proximity mirror would have given him a very clear view, wouldn’t even need to look straight at is as you can see easily if you’ve got any sort of peripheral vision. Doesn't look like there’s a forward facing camera? Bryan will know. The only thing I’m pleased about is it’s not one of mine.....but I have had drivers ‘teach someone a lesson’ which has ended up in a really dangerous situation. Even more stupid when we’ve got cameras fitted to every vehicle. I have zero tolerance for any bad driving behaviour.

I'm sorry I must be extra thick this week, what happened? It was just a general comment about the inability of SEAT drivers to keep their cars on the road. You can't drive down a road round here without passing a Leon in a ditch.

Got that, it's the comments about commercial vehicles that got me or is that a separate topic?

Got that, it's the comments about commercial vehicles that got me or is that a separate topic? That was about the video posted above showing a Royal Mail truck T-boning a Golf (dangerously close to a Leon) as it continued down the road oblivious to his new hood ornament.

How?! That's often the only question.
Yesterday I was behind another dipshit who clearly couldn't manage any speed limit except going over 30 in a 30. 40 was a struggle, braking or slowing every time a car came the other way. I was beginning to wonder if they were on their way home from an xmas party, pissed. The final straw was when they slowed right down behind a car turning left, with a clear junction and a clear road ahead, when they could have passed it.

Quite common. The car was in his blind spot. I've seen this several times. Cars in blind spots, not looking for HGVs or anticipating that the driver of said HGV can't see them and can't just brake to let them in. Frankly, they get what they deserve.

What really annoys me in that video is that everyone stops to gawp and film on a mobile, thriw in some opinions yet nobody actually helps.

Took the dig for a walk this evening and yet again someone sailed straight over the zebra crossing as I stood and waited. It wasn't even fully dark, it's well lit, the approach is straight and clear of parked cars but the silly bint in the A3 drove on by, to a middle finger salute from me. All the time on that crossing. Even in full daylight.

More automotive idiocy rather than villainy: A Range Rover SVR pulled out of a drive behind me this morning (-2 degrees according to the car) and followed me about half a mile to a set of lights (in a 30mph limit) where the road also becomes 2 lanes. I had only travelled just over a mile so the engine was cold and I was happy to keep it below 2,000 rpm until warm. The SVR pulled up alongside me at the lights and when they changed he gave it everything. Pretty quick I have to admit but cold engine, full revs, 60+mph and freezing conditions! I am sure that one of those will stop his progress some day.
