I’ve just seen an Audi Q8 which is a car I generally don’t hate. However, this one was white with what I’ll assume was a black trim package that resulted in the gigantic grill and it’s equally massive surrounds being painted black. The result was the car looked like there was a huge body panel missing on the front.

White is rarely a good choice. My next door neighbour (wife) has a Q8 Vorsprung in Daytona Grey, which looks a lot better and the black pack is essential on darker colours imo. It's a decent looking car, but the grille is still a bit much, I really don't like the way it sticks out. It looks exactly like this

That does look good in the grey.

That's it, it also has a swath of black on the back which is less obvious on the picture of the grey car but also looks like a body panel has been stolen. The Grey car is much nicer.

Yesterday evening I had the misfortune to stop at Tebay services for a sandwich (mediocre and overpriced) and a coffee (watery and overpriced) but did get the benefit of seeing and hearing these arrive online photo hostingSeparately I also saw and heard a Lambo Urus and the Aston Martin SUV thing, still in its camouflage.

That reminds me, I saw a camouflaged F Type Coupe on the M6 on Friday evening. Looks like it will have slimmer headlights but the rest of it looked pretty much the same.

Those Ultimas were at Silverstone at the weekend. The 2 in racing colours sounded incredible, I suspect thay had barely any silencing. The black one was relatively subdued. We saw them again further north just off the M74 (which was closed at J12) so I wonder if they're now touring the NC500 scaring German motorbike tourists!

Almost forgot....
In the week I was following a white Citroen Nemo van on the M3. In the grime on the back, someone had, just above the word "Nemo", written "FINDING"

Two recent-model Audis today, both of which had ordinary, non-wanky indicators. A joy to behold.

I'm sure the scrolling indicators can be configured via VCDS or OBDeleven but can they be changed in the infotainment menu? Do some models get them and some not get them? I've seen new 3 Series with scrolling indicators and non-scrolling indicators as well.

It used to depend on the headlights fitted, the better ones included scrolling indicators, not sure if that’s still the case?

It was on a transporter, but I saw a rare FF Range Rover this morning. An SVAutobiography in BRG with tan leather, silver wheels and clear glass. Looked so much better than most you see on the road.

That's because it wasn't on the road yet with its cunt installed behind the wheel.

They can't be coded, different lights and require a control module to make them work. They're dependent on the model and the model line. I expect A6 and above they're standard fitment on the rear but you usually have to upgrade to matrix lights to get them on the front as well. On lower models eg A3 you have to upgrade to LED lights, I think.
My car has them on the rear and I think they're totally pointless. Still use them, though, unlike most drivers these days!

Sat behind a G63 AMG waiting to get through lights near to the M8 today (Dobbies Loan underpass). Somehow, they sound especially brutal in such a big beast of a car!

Brand new BMW 850, I really like the look of it in the metal. Come to think of it, the company I’m working with has a lot of new beamers in the car park. They’re partnering in developing battery tech for the next generations of cars. Daimler have also invested, but the employees like BMWs it seems.
Also saw a Ford Cougar and a turquoise mk1 Contour (Mondeo) estate. A res Focus RS with an RS plate of some sorts and a black mini with the plate 6satan6 on it.

The fields where I often walk the dogs have a row of large detached houses on one side, one of which is owned by something of a petrolhead. over the years he's had various RS Ford, a couple of M3's, a P22 Impreza and Evo's VI and X. However his latest acquisition far surpasses all of these - a 2015 GT3 RS. I only noticed it because it was sitting just burbling away today, presumably warming up before he took it out. Lovely.

... my old Ka, KA14AKA, less than a mile from home on my way back from work. It was going the other way just past the local hospital.
First time I've ever seen one of my previous cars on the road
EDIT: All the more remarkable because, according to its MOT history, it's only done about 1000 miles per year since I handed it back on the PCP

A Hyundai Nexo (Fuel Cell) with the plate H1 FCV, which was on the back of a single vehicle transporter. Probably easier than trying to find somewhere to fill it up.
Yesterday’s spot was a very ratty looking BX GTI.
