Following an email from Drivethedeal, I specced up a 440iGC with everything mine has plus adaptive LED's and heated rear seats - £53,100 list but nearly £11,500 discount if taking BMW finance at 2.9%. Still a lot of money but the interest charge is much more manageable at that rate. I am still eyeing up used M4 Competition Spec cars but at c£50K for a decent spec and no interest deals it is too much to justify. My dealer has a pre reg one in San Marino Blue which looks spectacular but apart from having the Competition Pack it is otherwise standard, so no storage pack, adaptive lights, comfort access or carbon interior trim.

Yes the 2.9% deal is great. That must be quite a spec - £5k more than mine listed at, which is still £4k more adjusted for price rises.

Both the level of discount and 2.9% finance are pretty good. I just specced one out of interest and got to £56,375.

The headlights are about £1,200, plus surround view, comfort access, lumbar support, heated rear seats, sunroof, storage pack virtual cockpit, piano black trim, adaptive suspension, Plus package, folding mirrors, heated steering wheel! It adds up to about £8K of extras which probably makes me certifiable.

Yes.... I added everything that I have on mine plus HUD, Surround View, Merino leather and Tanzanite Blue. I'd want the first two on my next car and would upgrade from Dakota Leather if I have another BMW. Adding options is costly and can make the gap to the next model up more reasonable. The 5 still needs a lot of options, but the 7 doesn't, so a £91k list 740d doesn't work out that much more than a £65k list 5 Series, thanks to adding less options and 0% finance. John - Not if it's what you want. I got to nearly £9k on the 535d, but that didn't have Professional Nav or memory seats as standard.

There seems to have been a price increase plus the increase in year 1 tax that means a car that listed at £48,335 inc. options in December is now, with the same spec, £49,785.
Looking through, there's not much I'd change from mine (MSport+, folding mirrors, wood trim, sunroof, adaptive suspension, reversing camera, extended storage, adaptive lights) save for a couple of new options added by the LCI: I'd add the Leather dashtop at £815, Digital Cockpit for £295, the Exterior trim - Aluminium satin at £155 and the Exterior Parts - Body Colour at £0 (the latter combo ensures you get the satin aluminium around the side windows only and not additionally elsewhere). Although given that the LCI doesn't have Xenons, I'd be tempted to add the voodoo lights at £1,050.
That's it really. Rest is excessive FG.

That's it really. Rest is excessive FG. You should see my 7 series spec! Don't knock FG options until you've lived with them for a while.

On the "gangsta hearse" front, I see Drive the Deal is offering two brand new CLS350d Shooting Brake AMG Line Premium Plus reduced from £57k to £39k, one of which is black over black... www.drivethedeal.com/SpecialOffers.aspx

£35k for an E350 AMG Line is a really good price.

The latest ones have a decent image for the Navigation directions and can show the speed limit, both of which I think would be really useful. I had it on my hire car in Australia and liked it more than I thought I would.

Really well specced C Class for low to mid £20K's and some SE models dipping below £20K for a brand new C Class.

I love the HUD in the 6GC which I assume is the same as the 5. Nab, phone, radio, speed limits, speed and it even tells you when to lift off the throttle and coast in eco pro (that time I tried it!).
When I drive a car without HUD now it's the first thing I notice and miss.
